We’re excited to be once again partnering with The Actors Group for this Autumn’s Performance Outreach classes!

We are again offering two dynamic acting classes – one for under 18s and one for adults – tailored to explore a range of professional acting techniques. From character development to improvisation and script analysis, students will build confidence, creativity, and performance skills in a supportive, hands-on environment run by west glam staff.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your craft, these classes are the perfect next step.

Tuesday evenings from September 30th.

For the first of our Summer 2025 shows, WGYTC presents…

58: A Scattershot of Rich

A small boy stands in front of 57 other people. 58 people whose voices collectively tell a story. A child of Pontrhydyfen, Phillip Burton, Auntie Cis and Uncle Elfed, the Taibach Draper who gave Rich his first job. Jimmy Porter, Caius Martius Coriolanus, King Arthur. Elizabeth Taylor, his lawyer, Sally Burton, the doctor who begged him to put the bottle down.

58 duologues; some personal, some performance - that see the extraordinary life of Richard Burton flash before his eyes. There is genius and difficulty. Ambition and inspiration. Poetry and cursing. Despair and addiction. Tied together with physical theatre expressions of his greatest and darkest moments.

In a year where we celebrate the acting legend Richard Burton, another iconic Welsh cultural institution the West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company marks its own 50th birthday by bringing this piece to the Plaza Cinema, Port Talbot.

58 encounters. 58 people. 58 years. One remarkable life.

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time (Abridged for Schools) a play by Simon Stephens based on the novel by Mark Haddon.

When a dog is killed in his neighbourhood, Christopher sets out to solve the mystery. As he becomes more involved with the murder case, he ends up discovering the truth about his own life and family. His journey in looking for the dog's murderer soon becomes a search for his mother.
