I recently visited the wonderful 'Women in Revolt' exhibition at Tate Britain, and along with the prominent displays of women's art books in the gift shop was reminded of all that the H'mm Foundation is doing to promote women artists and writers here in Wales.

We have published Gaynor Funnel's first book 'Penbanc', individual volumes featuring the work and words of artists Christine Kinsey and Angharad Pearce Jones, and 'HON - Women Artists in Wales 2022' featuring 10 women artists from across the nation. We also published 'Shaping Art in Wales' by Ceri Thomas with a foreword by current Glynn Vivian Gallery curator Karen McKinnon, that covers the influence on the Welsh artistic scene of the first two full-time curators, David Bell and Kathleen Armistead, who was the first female curator in Wales.

Work is in progress on a further 'Hon' volume broadening the cultural and geographical scope in featuring the voices and work of more women artists.
