A little macabre to some, I know, but I tend to see the beauty in all things. For most of the world, skulls represent death. They’re a stark reminder of our own mortality and probably one of the most powerful symbols around. In some cultures skulls represent transformation, and change. Memento Mori - A Latin phrase meaning ‘remember you must die’ which I see as a gentle reminder that we are mortal and that to die one must live.

Painted on a 9” x 12” stretched cotton canvas and finished with a protective coat of satin gloss varnish, giving it a beautiful shine, and truly helps make the colours pop.

Probably one of my favourites I’ve ever painted to date, the beautiful blend of vibrant colours filling the night sky, the stunning galaxy with a myriad of stars, blanket over a snow capped mountain range, and a field of lavender in the foreground, accompanied by a magically pink stream with dancing fireflies surrounding it. Take me there!! 😂💜
