Artist number ten is unique Jack Winbow

Body and form have always been distinguished concepts in my mind from an early age, a yearning to understand the vessel I was born in. In this self-portrait I wanted to section my body into smaller fragments to greater understand myself. Using the manual trigger in the image and tying the cord around my body to compartmentalise my anatomy. I break down the sections of my body to visualise my innate hyper fixation on my own form. As the wire reflects the curves and ridges of the muscles in my back, the eye is drawn down the image following the central groove of my spine. The faceless portrait and purposeful posing transcends the barriers of the gender binary and reduces my body into form. By taking part in this photographic exercise I hoped to understand myself better, but my journey isn’t over yet.

Artist number nine is talented
Joel Morris .m.studi0s
This artist uses dust from charcoal; he combines his skills with specialised tools that he makes himself in collaboration with knowledge of photorealism to produce stunning images in exquisite detail that pushes the medium to its limits.
In an effort not only to represent but to somewhat immortalise his subjects, the portraits' memorable gazes and dynamic poses are due to the fact he is also a photographer who often has a chance to meet his subject beforehand to which he finds great pleasure photographing as well as drawing.

Our sixth artist is legendary
Hasan Kamil, also known as Hass was born in Swansea, Wales in 1990. His prime passion was skateboarding which later through exploring local spots, travelling and visiting skateparks discovered graffiti, a passion that equally consumed his focus.

Hass’s artwork primarily takes root in graffiti art and the letterform was his first love. Using letters as a foundation he has diversified into large scale murals, contemporary paintings, graphic design and signage. Whatever the project may be Hass works closely with some of the UK’s best talents, carefully collaborating or selecting the right person from his close team of creative friends for the job.

Our third artist is talented Ishrat Subhan Eva, Eva is a Bangladeshi artist who creates sculptures which are wearable along with drawings. Her work explores the aspects of culture, religion and its positive and negative effects in one’s life. Feelings, Emotions, dilemma of daily life and its struggle which her works are inspired by.
She uses fabrics which are used by her or close friends and families which are connected to her; along with silver steel wire, wool and different types of threads. Her current collection is about her experience with growing up in a multi-cultural and Islamic environment. She attempts to capture the thoughts and feelings and tries to express the unspeakable moments through her sculptures by photographing herself with wearable sculptures.

The entanglement of relationship with her faith, culture and constant war between negativity and positivity which revolves around them are the reason behind her work which are represented through her sculptures using abstract method.

I am excited to start introducing our artists for Axe Head to Everything new show “Controlled” Our first artist is inspirational Aimee James Aimee James - Artist statement

James' most recent works focus on the harsh realities and often unspoken, innermost thoughts of motherhood.

Shortly after becoming a mother James suffered with postnatal depression, she struggled with the idea of finding herself again and felt a sense of identity loss with the birth of her child.

Wondering what it is to be a mother and an artist, James' practice became a way for her to place her deepest thoughts on paper, as well as a way in which to process and deal with her illness.

Amazed by her daughter's innocent wonder at the world, James thinks about what it would be like to be that young again, where the world was fresh and new and life was simple, without worries.

These raw, honest, emotional works hope to relate to other mothers, showing no need to feel alone.
