We are looking for more fish-based stalls, fresh or cooked, and a wider variety of foods such as vegan and vegetarian to enhance our provision

🎉 A wonderful Celebration Afternoon! 🎉

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of bringing our amazing Swanage Fish & Food Festival volunteers together for our annual Celebration Afternoon at Cumulus Outdoors — one of our fantastic festival sponsors and a brilliant venue for the occasion. 💙

After a hugely well-supported festival this year, with an estimated 8,000–9,000 visitors over the weekend, we are thrilled that the success of the festival has enabled us to give back even more to the local community. ❤️

This year, we were delighted to donate just shy of £8,000 in total — almost double the amount donated in previous years! 🎉👏

Our donations went to eight fantastic local charities and organisations:

🌊 National Coastwatch Institution Swanage
🎣 South East England FishMish
🚣 Swanage Sea Rowing Club
⚙️ Swanage Rotary
💛 Cancare Purbeck
🎶 Purbeck Youth Choir
💜 Dementia Friendly Purbeck

It was also our opportunity to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers. 👏👏👏

The Swanage Fish & Food Festival simply wouldn’t happen without the incredible time, energy, enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteer team. From months of planning and preparation to setting up, stewarding, helping traders, keeping everything running smoothly and clearing up afterwards — you are the heart of the festival! ❤️

We are incredibly proud that the festival can not only bring thousands of people together to enjoy a wonderful weekend in Swanage, but also raise money for organisations doing such valuable work in our community.

A massive thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, traders, chefs, musicians, visitors and everyone who supports the Swanage Fish & Food Festival. Without you, none of this would be possible. 🐟🍴🎶

On Sunday 23 August, 2pm–4pm, we’ll be holding our annual Celebration Party at Cumulus Outdoors | Activity & Residential Specialist! 🎉🥳

This is our chance to celebrate and say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful team of loyal, hardworking volunteers. ❤️👏

Without your time, energy and dedication, we simply couldn’t put on such a brilliant festival — you really are the heart of what we do! 👏👏👏

We’ll also be presenting our amazing charities with their donation cheques, helping to support their projects and plans for the coming years. 💙

And, of course, we’re delighted to welcome our fantastic sponsors, whose generous support helps us continue to grow, improve and make the festival even better each year. 🙏✨

Calling all food, drink and artisan traders – whether you’re one of our fantastic returning exhibitors or you’re thinking of joining us for the very first time, it’s almost time to apply!

📅 Applications open on Tuesday 1st September 2026, so make sure you’ve got the date in your diary.

Before submitting your application, please take a few moments to read our updated Terms & Conditions, as there are some important changes for 2027, including new constraints on power provision.

⏰ Please note: Applications will close on 30th September 2026, so don’t leave it too late!

We’re already looking forward to bringing together another wonderful mix of passionate local producers, talented artisans and delicious food & drink for what promises to be another fantastic festival weekend!

We spent a fabulous day at the The Dorset Seafood Festival today and came away full of inspiration! ☀️🐟

With glorious sunshine, a stunning setting back on the Quay, and a fantastic array of traders showcasing the very best seafood, local produce, and artisan drinks, it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying everything the festival had to offer.

As organisers, it’s always valuable to visit other events, catch up with friends and industry contacts, sample some delicious food, and pick up new ideas and inspiration for future festivals.

Congratulations to the team behind the Dorset Seafood Festival on a successful event – and yes, we may have done a little research along the way! 🦞🐠🦪🥞

How was it only two weeks ago?! 🤔

🎉After 12 months of planning, the Swanage Fish & Food Festival delivered two fantastic days celebrating the very best local food and drink producers, talented artisans, inspiring demo chefs and a wonderful line-up of musical entertainment.

Seeing Sandpit Field filled with smiling faces, delicious food, great music and such a positive atmosphere made all the hard work worthwhile.Better still, the festival once again helped raise valuable funds for local charities and good causes, making the weekend about much more than just great food and entertainment.

And while we’re still enjoying the memories, preparations for 2027 are already underway!

Next year’s festival will take place a week earlier, so pop the dates in your diary and join us for another fantastic celebration of food, drink, music, community and fundraising.
