Emma’s Dance Academy

Emma’s Dance Academy Dance, Drama, Singing Formerly known as The Julie Johnson School of Dancing, the School was initially formed in Sutton Coldfield in 1989 by Julie Johnson.

Miss Emma is now Principal and the School operates under the name Emma's Dance Academy. Subjects taught include Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Acrobatics, Lyrical and Stage. The syllabus followed is that of the British Theatre Dance Association, which is recognised by the Joint Examining Board and is a member of the Council for Dance Education and Training. Pupils are accepted into the school from 3 ye

ars through to professional level. Classes are taught every Saturday at the Deanery School, Fox Hollies Road, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield. With a Stage Class for existing pupils on a Thursday evening. There is a large car park and changing facilities.

On Friday I went to Birmingham Town Hall to meet our events coordinator from (the lovely Jade) to go through some details for show day, and as I stood in loading bay in the middle of the stage, it was a real pinch me moment!

The venue is so beautiful and I cannot believe I’m able to bring our wonderful dancers there in just under 3 weeks time 🤩🩵
