What an incredible day at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music performing at today’s pop-up choir event.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to listen or came along to see us. And thanks to Miles Wallis-Clarke for organising this incredible event.

Well done to the other performers too. It’s so great to see how much singing is happening across the region. Already looking forward to next year 💜🎶

Next Sunday, we're taking part in Newcastle Sings pop-up choir event at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music.

We'll be performing on the concourse at around 1.50pm, we'd love to see you there 🎶

We're slightly late to the party for sharing this information, but at our AGM in January we announced that we raised £1,650 for charities in 2025. This was in addition to any fundraising-specific concerts we held.

Thank you to everyone who donated and to our members for organising and taking part in quizzes and raffles to help towards this amount too.

On Wednesday 28 January, we’re holding our annual open evening.

🎶 Come along to hear about the choir from our members, join in with some singing and listen to a few of our songs.

🧁 There’ll also be a cuppa and some cake.

We’re particularly interested in recruiting more male members to help strengthen our sound. But everyone is welcome.

Can’t make it? Don’t worry, we welcome new members throughout the year. There just isn’t always cake

Our first ever charity Christmas concert is fast approaching, it's just over a week away and we can't wait! 🎄

The evening will include music from the amazing 50-person Fortissimo Community Choir and the The Whole Shebang band (including carols to sing along with!), together with stories about lives changed through our North East crisis services.
