We are deeply saddened to share that our dear friend, Val Alderson has passed away.
Val’s time with RYT began when her daughter Alex joined the youth theatre and her unwavering support never stopped. She gave so much of her time as a committee member, secretary, and later as chairperson — always working to make RYT a loving, kind and caring space for every single member.
Backstage, Val was a constant source of care, guidance and encouragement. She was a cheerleader for everyone, always celebrating each member’s achievements and always finding joy in watching their confidence grow. For Val, it was always about the members, and her legacy of kindness will forever live on at RYT.
And of course, her famous quesadillas. Need we say more?
The entire RYT family is sending so much love to Alex, and to Val’s family and friends at this heartbreaking time. She will always be in our hearts. 💜
