Closed in 2002, once a proud Victorian building on the Ipswich Docks skyline, with a flag flying from the roof top. Sad to see the old Tolly Cobbold Cliff Brewery in this state, photographed 29th August 2026.
I think arsonists have set light to it on more than one occasion. but luckily, it's still standing. With just about every window broken, a haven for Pigeons. I hate to think what it looks like on the inside.

16 years ago, on 30th July 2010, the Foxearth Village sign, I helped restore, was unveiled. I have that job to do again....

Looking at the grass colour in the 2010 photo, it was a dry summer.

I have an almost new Ladies Bicycle for sale, it's a "Pendleton Ashwell", the brand sold by Halfords, nationwide - 19" ...

I have an almost new Ladies Bicycle for sale, it's a "Pendleton Ashwell", the brand sold by Halfords, nationwide - 19" Frame, 5 speed. Covered just 20 or so miles, and then stored in a garage ever since. Original invoice, showing when purchased and where. Cost £450, selling for £250.

Looking through my Computer files, I found this film, I think, sent to me, by Alec and Sarah Cracknell, Ipswich, showing my ploughing efforts with my 1947 Fordson E27N Petrol / Paraffin Tractor and 1947 Ford / Ransomes PM3A Plough at the Henny Working day, on Sunday, 2nd October 2011.

Technically, it's been lost all those years [15 years] - filed in the wrong place - found today, I decided to post it on here.

NOTE - how dry the field looks, and that was one and a half decades ago. I don't remember a drought then ?

Pakenham Tower Windmill, Suffolk, photographed on Tuesday 28th July 2026. It's no longer working, and in need of urgent repairs. The curb and gearing on top of the tower is worn out. The mill top can not turn, as it gets jammed up, due to the wear and damage on the teeth and gearing of the Curb. One Fan tail blade has been removed [to stop the top automatically revolving and then jamming] and the shutters have been removed from the sails to reduce weight and lessen fatigue on the Tower top..

Family Car design 1970s - Present Day ...... I used to think the Ford Cortina Mk 3, was a big car, but as you can see, parked beside the latest type of "Mini", and a fairly recent Peugeot Estate, it looks small !

Photo taken 1st August 2026 - the Cortina is 54 years old.

Pebmarsh "Bit of a do", Sunday 26 July 2026

I've known this car most of my life. Until a few years ago, owned by my Cousin for many decades, a 1911 Model T Ford - yes, it's 115 years old !

Bought from Hill Farm, Gestingthorpe, in the 1940's, because it was loaded up with valuable scrap plough shires, the car wasn't scrapped, but restored to working order.

My oldest memory is seeing it and photographing it, driven to the Long Melford Mamouth Vintage Olde Tyme Rally in 1969.

15 million Model T's were built, from 1908 to 1927. From the first to the last, they all had wooden spoke wheels [made from Hickory].

The steering wheel rim, was also made from wood.

After I took several working scene photos, the Combine was driven to it's next job - an interesting sight, seeing it disappear up the main road, in a cloud of dust and chaff !

My Trade Stand at the "Pebmarsh, bit of a do" Show, today. Afternoon temperature was about 30 degrees. Gazebo and hat came in very handy. A trip down to the King's Head Pub, in the back of a 1940's Austin Lorry, afterwards. Not been in one of these Lorries since 1966, when I lived at Armsey Farm, Bulmer Tye.
