Sudbury: A Creative Hub at the Heart of Suffolk
Did you know that Sudbury is one of the most vibrant and concentrated creative communities in Suffolk?
This weekend, the Sudbury Artists' Open Studios Art Trail (13–14 June) offers a unique opportunity to explore that creativity first-hand. Follow the trail, step inside working artists' studios, meet local makers, and discover the incredible talent that makes Sudbury such an inspiring place to visit.
A great place to begin your journey is Mill Tye Gallery & Arts Centre, where trail maps and directories are available from the Gift Shop. Nestled beside the River Stour and easily reached via the beautiful Gainsborough Trail, it's the perfect starting point for a day of art, inspiration and exploration.
We're also delighted to be hosting our June Artist in Residence, Rowan Collinson. Alongside her exhibition, A Field Study: Documenting Four Seasons, Rowan will be working live in the studio throughout the weekend, offering visitors a rare chance to observe her printmaking and bookbinding practice in action, ask questions, and gain insight into her creative process.
Feeling inspired after meeting the artists?
We've recently added a range of new workshops and creative courses, now available to book online. Whether you're taking your first creative steps or looking to develop existing skills, there's something for everyone.
