Imagine is a therapeutic arts project
offering an accessible and supportive studio space in which members can explore and develop their creativity in the community-based practice. The studio, which opened in 2009, is currently run by Laura Ridolfi and Hisako Simon. Members can choose between the ‘Studio Practice Sessions’ – which allow more independent artistic work, and the more structured ‘Theme

d-Based Groups’ – where, in a confidential setting, artistic and emotional aspects of a specific theme are explored from different perspectives. Together with the above weekly sessions, our programme includes weekend ‘workshops’. Imagine offers a safe space where creativity can be used as a powerful tool for furthering self-awareness and change. No previous artistic experience is required to join the studio and basic art materials are provided. Hisako Simon
Through my Anthroposophic training in sculpture and art therapy, I realised that engaging in artistic processes was a way towards encountering our own inner selves. On my journey I found that similar forms kept appearing which revealed aspects of my being, and I believe when we meet them with a sincere heart they open new dimensions to who we really are. Laura Ridolfi
I feel that our creativity helps us to deal with the unexpected, to find meaning in our lives and the inner resources to change and grow. Trained in Anthroposophic Art Therapy, my approach embraces the physical as well as the soul and spiritual aspects of our well-being in relationship to the world arounds us. I see life as a journey, where the outer and the inner path interweave; art helps me to enjoy this journey: mindful in the process, I leave the destination open to the imagination.

We have a new Theme-Based Group called 'Losing to Find' taking place on Wednesdays at 10.30am-1pm from 16th September – 21st October

We have all experienced loss, whether
coming from a change of our own volition or a change imposed by life and its
impermanence. Depending on the loss, our response to it might express itself through physical and/or emotional pain, and it is likely to bring about more change. We might ourselves feel lost at times, and the only way forward may well be an inner, as well as an outer change.

In this weekly group we will explore
artistically how loss, grief, and change are woven together in a transformative process that leads us to something new, to discover how we ourselves are changed by it.

Artistic exercises will be combined with
shared reflections, facilitated in a supportive, non-judgemental space.

£230 (£200 conc.) / 6 sessions
Places are limited, booking essential. Email [email protected] to book your place and send a £30
non-returnable deposit by Tuesday 8th Sept.

A date for your diary...

🌸 We're thrilled that the wonderful Clare and Dave Hargrave will be using some of the funds raised during their Open Garden event at Trench Hill on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st August to support our Silvers and Carers sessions. 🌳

They've already raised £100 during a previous open event so we're very grateful for that. 🙏🏼
