And just like that… a perfect Gloucestershire night out to remember!

A huge thank‑you to everyone who traded the blazing heat outside for the cool, magical atmosphere inside St Mary’s Church, Painswick on Saturday evening 11th July.

With broadcaster and travel writer Mark Cummings as our wonderful compère, the audience enjoyed his hilarious stories from Glorious Gloucestershire, beautifully woven between choral favourites by Parry, Holst, Vaughan Williams, Pearsall and Finzi — plus a brand‑new piece premiered especially for the night.

Add in fabulous local cheeses and wines, and it truly became an evening to treasure.

We are delighted that Mark Cummings is hosting our concert 'Glorious Goucestershire' with entertaining tales of the area.

Local producers - Days Cottage, Three Choirs Vineyard, Stroud Brewery and Jonathan Crump are providing our refreshments, which are on sale from 6pm and in the interval, when we will be able to spill out into the lovely churchyard to enjoy the summer evening air!

And don’t worry!!! The church is wonderfully cool and you will be home in time for “the match”!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night at Holy Trinity Church, Minchinhampton for our performance of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle. Our four soloists truly put the icing on the cake - their artistry helped make it an evening of music we’ll remember for a long time.

We’re already looking forward to collaborating with them again on future projects… although perhaps not with their wonderful bass, Will, who is heading off with his family to exciting new pastures at an opera house in southern Germany. We wish him every success in this next chapter of his career.

Do keep an eye out for our next concert on 11th July, at St Mary's, Painswick featuring songs by Gloucestershire composers - it promises to be another special occasion.
