A very rainy Upper Heyford sometime in the eighties..this is work in progress but brings back memories of watching the F111s with my dad..
Needs to dry then I’ll come back and bring it to life..I can almost feel the noise looking back…

Further progress on the commission..I’ll let it dry and then go all though it again 😊👍

I saw one of these at an air show when I was a kid…it took off and just climbed straight up vertically…deafening…you could feel it in your stomach and it punched a hole through the clouds.
The aircraft had a reputation…and earned the nick name ‘The Frightening’ instead of its real name.
‘The Lightening’ 16x12” it’s just drying and needs a frame but will be on Etsy next week.

My god sons wedding today and very lovely it was 😊
And I treated myself to this painting by James Downie… ‘The Railwaymen’ which I really love… James sells non stop on eBay and I love the quirky style.

This poor old print was damp and dumped in our street..
He now keeps me company at work, telling me wild tales of the 1990s..apparently no one had phones back then and a lot of dancing went on 🤣🤣
I need to go home…I’ve obvs been overcome by turps fumes..
