On Friday the 9th of October, The Sub Rooms will be filled with the music of The Specials, as this top-flight tribute touches down. 🎸

The Specials Ltd are a 9-piece band full of passion, energy and excitement. Their set includes such hits as Gangsters, Too Much Too Young, Ghost Town and many more fan favourites. ✨

Since they formed in 2018, they have performed countless shows at some of the United Kingdom and Ireland’s most prestigious venues.

The Sub Rooms is looking forward to welcoming this electrifying outfit, for what will most assuredly be a right good knees up. 🥳

Hockney in The Sub Rooms - 16.09.2026. 🖼️

British art lost a true icon in June: an artist whose work resonated with so many, not only for it's beauty, but also the depth of meaning contained within it. David Hockney's legacy will keep on shining. ✨

The Sub Rooms is very happy to be able to bring back the wonderful Exhibition on Screen film about David Hockney in September, to celebrate the life and work of the peerless creative giant. 🖌️

Join us on Wednesday the 16th of September at 1pm & 7pm for EOS: David Hockney, at The Sub Rooms in Stroud. 💖

If you don't know about Stroud Shindig, then now is the perfect time to begin your education in earnest! 📚

Arriving but once a year, the Shindig is the annual bash to end all bashes - a night where we fill every room with music & fun. 🥳

Our 2026 edition is like that video where that guy takes his mate's car to be mapped without telling him: it's the thing you already know & love but somehow better in every way. 🚗

Between and in the Ballroom, and x IDK Jeff in Central Bar & Rave, chill out and video games in the George room and banging street food in the kitchen, we feel we've pretty much for all bases covered. 🚀

'The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World' is a bold statement, but Showaddywaddy has lived up to that title for the last 5 decades! 🎸 On Friday the 25th of September, The Sub Rooms is going to a rockin' and a rollin' as this best-loved British band touch down in Stroud. 🕺🏻 Their live show is dynamic and uplifting, featuring all of their greatest hits, many of which reached number one in the pop charts across Europe. 🇪🇺 Tickets having been flying out for what is set to be a fantastic night! 🚀

The Sub Rooms 🤝 Homegrown Musical Talent

Offering a platform for local musicians and bands to ply their craft, reach an audience and pursue their passion is so special. ✨

We consider ourselves incredibly lucky with the wealth of local talent which we are able to host time & again at our events. 💯

Let's take a quick look at four acts who have become regular returners to the ballroom stage and beyond... 🚀

Pebble Daisy first took to our stage in 2024 after applying to perform at The Sounds of Stroud. Since wowing the crowd with a stripped-back duet performance for her debut, she has returned a further three times. Pebble was selected as the first ever Sub Rooms artist in residence and it has been amazing to watch her sound, style and stagecraft elevate. 🦇

Dryadic's Sounds of Stroud debut came in 2025 and it was a show they came away from as one of the stand-out performances. Their plush, contemporary folk, irresistible chemistry and instrumental mastery made fans of all those present. It has been our pleasure to welcome Zora and co back a further three times since then. 🎻

Amy Moore took on the formidable test of opening the show when she successfully applied to perform at The Sounds of Stroud 2025. Her warm and charismatic stage presence is matched by her soulful Americana sound which win over audiences every time she graces the stage. 🌞

Jodie O first took to The Sub Rooms stage back in 2023 and caught attention with her captivating indie-folk. Enrolling with Gloucester based Upsurge scheme, she next returned to us in 2026 for their showcase evening. Her performance was fantastic and saw her secure a slot supporting KT Tunstall as well as a spot at Stroud Beer Festival 2026. 🎸

Before the summer holidays come to an end, we're bringing more family friendly fun to The Sub Rooms with this brand new Looney Tunes film! 🍿 We'll be showing The Day The Earth Blew Up on Wednesday the 26th of August and tickets are available now. 🎟️ "Porky and Daffy, the classic animated odd couple, turn into unlikely heroes when their antics at the local bubble gum factory uncover a secret alien mind control plot. Against all odds, the two are determined to save their town (and the world!)...that is if they don't drive each other crazy in the process." 🫠👽🛸
