My Shetland wool week adventure!
Thank you Loose Ends Shop Ltd for letting me use space in shop to set up and display my loom i built, really enjoyed your company, support, nice conversations and lots of interest from crafters visiting shop. Its my favourite shop in Lerwick and full of goodies!
I struggle daily with anxiety/overthinking but helps having supportive folk about.
The first day i was on the street with it and had stress headache all day, probably caused by anxiety and tension.
It was my first alcohol free journey and stay in Shetland, I’ve been enough times to forget the number of visits over 14 years.
The w**e in holiday let survived and is probably there for the next visitors.
Didn’t really plan well as my bike and trailer with me was 140kg on weigh bridge… i’m about 75 kg!
Getting to holiday let was a challenge getting up the hill and got harder each time after cycling over 4 days starting Stromness to Kirkwall then in and out of Lerwick.
3 hours cycle home from Hatson ferry terminal Monday night to Stromness, got home at 2:30 in morning after battling 30+mph winds head on.
The speed monitor in Finstown said 🤣6mph!
Stars were beautiful until the rain came, took refuge in bus shelters briefly.
Felt almost recovered today so i went fencing 🤺 for two hours now i feel as stiff as a plank again!
keep going don’t stop!
