Looking to meet new people, get involved locally, and have a bit of fun along the way? Round Table might be exactly what you’re after.

We meet on the 3rd Friday of each month, with our next meeting on 18th September. Round Table is a national organisation focused on friendship, community support, charity work, and great social events — and our local group here in Strathaven is always keen to welcome new faces.

If you’re male aged 18–45 and fancy meeting new people, getting involved in the community, and having a good laugh while doing it, Strathaven Round Table could be a brilliant fit. We’re looking for people who want to make an impact locally, get stuck into great events, and enjoy themselves along the way.

No pressure, no commitment — just come along, grab a beer, and see what we’re all about.

Strathaven’s biggest community night of the year returns on Saturday 7th November — and we can’t wait to light up the skies once again ✨

Strathaven & District Round Table are proud to donate £350 to support this brilliant safety initiative at Kirklandpark Primary School.

The Junior Road Safety Committee came up with a fantastic idea - a competition to design a reflective keyring that pupils can wear on their journey to and from school, helping them stay visible and safe.

We’re delighted to help bring the winning design to life so every pupil can receive one. Huge credit to the committee for driving such a thoughtful project that puts children’s safety first.

And a special thank you to Samuel and the committee for the lovely card ☺️

Strathaven Round Table was delighted to donate £650 to support the Home Link literacy and numeracy project at Avondale Early Learning and Childcare.

The funding will help create take‑home learning packs filled with stories, songs, rhymes, activities and resources for children and their families. It’s a fantastic initiative that helps build positive learning outcomes right from the very start of a child’s journey.

🚨 AGM UPDATE: Strathaven & District Round Table Has a New Head Honcho 🚨

Today marks our AGM — the moment we look back at everything we’ve achieved and hand over the reins for another year of community, chaos, and cracking events.

A huge thank you to our outgoing Chair, Fraser, for steering the ship with style over the past year as well as all the team who supported throughout the year. Three brilliant events delivered, plus the launch of an entirely new one — the Strathaven Whisky Festival, which has already become a firm favourite.

We’re also incredibly proud to say it’s been a record‑breaking year of giving, with over £24,000 donated to support local causes across Strathaven and the wider district. That’s only possible because of the people who show up, support our events, and believe in what Round Table does for the community.

And now… the baton passes.

Welcome to our new Chair, Cameron!

May his year be filled with big ideas, smooth events, and absolutely no 11pm messages that start with “lads, hear me out”.
