🎙️ Strathaven Sounds Recording Studio — Pricing
Recording — £25 per hour
* Instrument and vocal recording: £25 per hour
* Minimum recording session: 2 hours (£50)
* Maximum recording session: 4 hours (£100)
* Contact to discuss how many hours are required before booking as no refund is given if completed earlier than the hours booked.
* Additional recording time beyond the booked session can be arranged.
🎚️ Mix & Master — £50 per song
Once recording is completed, each song includes a 2-hour Mix & Mastering service:
2 hours × £25 = £50 per song
This covers:
* Mixing the recorded tracks
* EQ, compression and effects
* Balancing and automation
* Stereo mix
* Final mastering & Streaming Ready.
* Pitch correction
🎹 Additional Instruments / MIDI / VST
Any additional creative production work requested from me or others during or after recording is charged separately at the standard £25 per hour recording rate.
This includes:
* Adding VST instruments
* Programming MIDI
* Adding virtual drums or Live Drum recording.
* Adding additional keyboards, bass, guitars or other instruments
* Re-recording or adding backing vocals/instruments
* Creating additional parts or arrangements
Important: Additional instruments, MIDI and VST work are not included within the 2-hour Mix & Mastering time. They are charged separately at £25 per hour.

Mix & Mastering
You pay for 2 hours of my time for mixing and mastering. This is usually not done as 2 consecutive hours unless you want the complete song finished on the same day.
When mixing and mastering, I take regular breaks to allow my ears to adjust before returning to the track. I will then revisit the song later that day, the following day, or as soon as possible, making any further adjustments that may be required.
I listen to the track on a variety of sound systems and sources to make sure it translates well and sounds as good as possible.
Once the mix and master is complete, I will provide you with an MP3 version so you can listen and request any further adjustments until you are happy with the result.
Once approved, I will provide the final WAV file via Dropbox or Google Drive, ready for you to upload to your chosen streaming platform.
Payment is usually pay as you go and booking times are flexible, from 2 hours to a max of 4 hours during each session until your project is complete. You then have unlimited mix and mastering preferences until you are 100% satisfied.
