Last Saturday, in the mizzle and drizzle, 20 hardy plein air painters watched the skilled demonstrate his talents and share his knowledge. We were then able to roam in the stunning gardens to paint!! I found a gem of a spot, little rowing boat, trees and a little water to paint… juggling paint brushes and an umbrella proved to be hard! More to be done but it’s a start!

Painting in the shade at Broadway Tower, looking out over town and views beyond, with and .jemmett. We had a lovely relaxing day, chatting, drinking tea and treated ourselves to scones and a slice of ‘Barbie’ cake (it was almond cake, but had bright pink topping!). Thank you for fabulous company ladies and Jane you were missed.

See you at 12 noon at St Lawrence’s Church in Bidford upon Avon! Been working on some gouache resist pieces like this one… it’s a fun technique but you never quite know what you’re going to get after you put the ink on!!! There til 6pm tonight… might need some refreshment afterwards… 😉

I’m heading to The Royal Priors, Leamington this afternoon (2-4pm) to celebrate the new and exhibition. My painting of of a little tree in a nearby field where my husband and dog found a young lad sleeping. We’d seen pleas on Facebook to find him, so we were happy that he was safe and could be reunited with his family. You can see why I had to paint it! I’m going with to see her beautiful landscape … perhaps you can join us! 🥂

🌞 it’s a lovely sunny day! Perhaps perfect for a visit to Stratford Upon Avon… if you are, we’ll be welcome to call into Jigsaw to see the fabulous Spring Collection and a few of my paintings… I’ll be there at 12 noon if you want to say hello! Ps These are the new paintings that I delivered on Thursday… I picked the mushroom whilst on a dog walk in Wixford to paint for the Strada Easel month long daily painting challenge. If you’ve taken part, you’ll know it’s a stretch!
