Behind the Scenes Tuesday!
Warwickshire Open Studios is a great event and celebrates artists throughout Warwickshire. We love being part of it and are always excited about getting our studio ready to celebrate our own creative talents and personal journeys for our Pottery Family. It’s a chance to share our lovely rural space, meet your Pottery Aunties - Leyla and Gaye and see some of our lovely members demonstrating working with the thing they love … clay ! But in order to get ourselves there on 4th/5th July we need to transform our studio. This week is about getting all the work finished and fired in the kilns( not the greatest thing to be doing in this heat! ), on top of our usual cleaning routine we take the studio apart to transform it into our Exhibition space. A lot of work but well worth it as ceramics and our own wonderful pottery family should be celebrated and we would love to share it with you , come and visit us on 4th/5th July.

We are really excited about this year’s Warwickshire Open Studio Exhibition.
Our exhibition dates are 4th/5th July, so we are very busy getting ready. Our Members are busy trying to finish off their work, decorating, glazing ready to put in the exhibition. Our kilns are working overtime to get the bisque and glaze firing completed along with and finishing our own work.
There’s a lot of work to do; follow us and see what we are doing to get ready in our lovely rural studio and book a date in your diary to come and visit us.

Behind the Scenes Tuesday !
One of our frequently asked questions is “ What do we do with all the clay scraps and pots that don’t make it ?” Well we try not to waste anything and that includes our clay. Recycling our clay is an important part of our week and takes up a large part of our time but time well spent!

Amy joined us as a member last year having previously attended several of our workshops. This beauty was created on our latest Greenman workshop. We run the Greenman workshop several times a year as its soooo popular. Amy's piece here is absolutely fabulous, we hope it's found a deserving place at home to display in all its glory!

Let’s face it life can be busy …and tough some times! So it’s really important that we look after ourselves and part of looking after yourself is taking time out for you. Getting creative with clay is a wonderful way of giving you that time. Pottery gives you so much, igniting your own creativity, time to recharge, stress relief and mindfulness.
We love our studio when it’s full of like minded people, getting creative - handbuilding, throwing, decorating, glazing. Our Pottery Family together sharing ideas, practicing to continue developing their skills celebrating their successes. The studio was “humming” with creativity this weekend, clay, tea, coffee and time for themselves!
