Tiddington Players A local amateur dramatic society for the community, open to anyone aged 8-80!

Tiddington Players, formerly Tiddington Comedy Collective, started out in 2008 as a joint venture between the NFU and the local community as an opportunity for local residents to tread the boards and have a bit of fun. Our first pantomime, Cinderella, took place in February 2009 and was a resounding success. The following year we staged Humpty Dumpty, followed by Dick Whittington in 2011, Sleeping

Beauty in 2012 and Aladdin in 2013. Over the last 4 years we have been lucky to attract new members and can now boast a membership ranging from 8 years and up, covering all levels of ability. Our prime concern is to provide something fun and enjoyable for members of the community to take part in or come along and support and have found it to have helped the local youth by giving them somewhere to go and something to get involved with. In addition, our adult membership has no upper age limit and we have grandparents who have taken part in, and been valuable assets to, our shows. New members are always given a warm welcome and our philosophy is most definitely the more, the merrier!

Just over a week since the curtains closed on Snow White 2026 for the last time and already work begins again behind the scenes for next year's show!

Do you have experience as part of a production team? Have you never done it before but have a hankering to try it? We are now accepting applications and enquiries for the roles of Director, Producer and Stage Manager.

Get in touch to have a chat with us, there's no pressure and plenty of support in place for anyone taking on one of these roles, so why not join this enthusiastic community group and help us put on another pantomime masterpiece!

Thank you to for a great review in the paper today! Really lovely to receive this kind of feedback for our little show, which we are rightly very proud of. Now it's back to a darkened room we go for a little while longer before panto 2027 planning commences (it's sooner than you probably realise!).

Thank you to for your constant presence throughout the shows and to all of their volunteers who are always a pleasure to host, and thank you to everyone who took part, helped out backstage, front of house, chaperoned our under 18s, manned the bar or bought a ticket and came along to watch us. We couldn't put the show on without you.

Same time next year? And any suggestions on what you might like us to do next?!

Hot on the heels of her return from Chicago and the opening of Hamnet at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Tiddington Players were very proud to have world famous theatre director Erica Whyman at our show this evening! Pretty sure that our panto is on a par with the RSC production....
