Lanternfish Theatre Company present MIST OVER AVALON by Tony Peters. Tony writes…”Growing up in the shadow of Glastonbury Tor, the son of a Cornish mother, the myths and legends of King Arthur have always had a strong hold over me. I have attempted to channel these feelings and emotions into a new solo show for actress Susannah Foy. The play tells the story of sorceress Morgan Le Fay, half sister of King Arthur and the nemesis of the wizard Merlin. Dedicated to the old ways and ancient magic she challenges the rule of Arthur and the growing emergence of Christianity.” The production includes original integrated live music and singing from a three piece band playing a variety of instruments including harp, guitar, oud, harmonium and hurdy gurdy, providing atmosphere for this poetic, dark and moody piece.
Tickets are on sale now for the performances in October at the Bear Pit Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon.
