Five years ago, the Boiler Room started in a wee room at Charlie’s Bar. Since then, it has grown into one of the best wee comedy clubs in the country — welcoming some of the biggest names in Irish comedy.

Now, it's time for the next chapter.

WE'RE MOVING 😢

Five years ago we started a wee comedy club in a room above Charlie's Bar and, if we're being honest, we hadn't a clue what it would become.

Well, what a five years it's been.

That wee room gave us nights we'll never forget. It was packed with laughs, characters, and some of the biggest names in comedy. Somewhere along the way, people started calling it "the best wee comedy club in the country" – and for a wee place in Strabane, that's some compliment.

But it was never just about the comedians on the stage. It was about the people who came through the doors every month. The regular faces, the first-timers, the ones who travelled the length of the country for a gig, and the ones who just fancied a good laugh on a Thursday night.

To Charlie's Bar, thank you for giving us a home and believing in what we were trying to do. You'll always be a massive part of the Boiler Room story.

Now it's time for a new chapter.

From September, the Boiler Room Comedy Club moves to Joe's Bar.

A new venue, but the same craic, the same laughs and, hopefully, many more great nights ahead.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has supported us these past five years. You helped turn a wee idea into something really special.

Right then... let's fill another room.
