🌿 NEW TO WILD – RELAXED AFTERNOONS 🌿
Sunday 6th September 2pm–5pm
We’re really excited to introduce something brand new to WILD!
Starting this September, we’ll be holding regular Relaxed Afternoons, specially designed for visitors with SEN, autism and additional sensory or accessibility needs, along with their families and carers.
Our very first session will be Sunday 6th September, 2pm–5pm.
We know that for some families, a busy attraction can be overwhelming. Crowds, queues, loud music, unexpected noises and the pressure to sit still during a show can make a day out much harder than it needs to be.
So, for our Relaxed Afternoons, we’re doing things a little differently.
🦖 Our dinosaur show will be adapted with lower volume and reduced sudden sound effects. The dinosaurs, theatrical lighting and excitement will still be there – just with a gentler approach.
🦜 Our bird show will take place without microphones or amplified music. Our parrots haven't quite got the memo though, so please remember that they are naturally very vocal and can still be loud!
🎧 Ear defenders will be available to borrow.
🔇 Background music and unnecessary noise will be reduced or switched off where appropriate.
🚪 Guests are completely welcome to come and go from shows, move around, vocalise, stim, take breaks or explore at their own pace. There is absolutely no expectation to sit still or stay quiet.
👋 Our team will be around the park to help, and we'll provide information before your visit so you can know what to expect – including potentially noisy or overwhelming areas, quiet spaces, toilets and what happens during each show.
Most importantly, there's no pressure to experience WILD in a particular way. Enjoy WILD in the way that works for you.

As this is something new for WILD, we'd really value your feedback. If there's something that would make a visit more accessible for you or your family, please tell us – we want these afternoons to develop around the people they're designed for.
