Rehearsal Rooms, Recording Studios, Video & Photo Production, Community Music Base Studios was established in 2007 as a centre to provide multi-media based rehearsal, recording and performance facilities for musicians and performers. However, from the very beginning the intention was to provide a full suite of services for musicians and performers, in order to maximize potential in the Midlands ar

ea. Now services include artist development programmes, state of the art digital recording studios, eight fully equipped rehearsal rooms and broadcast quality video production. In addition there is a 200 capacity live venue, tuition on many instruments, and a range of school and community based support initiatives that focus on encouraging the next generation of budding superstars. Located near to Stourbridge’s mainline railway station in Rufford Road, the complex boasts a high level of well maintained equipment, due in part to it’s close relationship with partner Laney Amplification. Each studio is digitally networked via a Logic system to a state-of-the-art digital recording suite which enables artists to produce everything from demos to download, and broadcast quality productions. The studio’s 200 capacity live room is a fully functioning venue that already attracts established musicians for gigs, and has also become established as a safe and well-run environment for young people to spend evenings both watching and performing their music. In addition, Base Studios leads a number of free youth projects aimed at giving opportunities where no provision currently exist. Please visit our community page for more information. Today is our 20th Birthday!
�We want to thank all of our customers and team for making Base what it is today and helping us reach this milestone.
�Originally set up in 2006 as a single practice room the studios developed in to having a recording studio and a music venue plus 5 rehearsal rooms. The studios would host live music nights on a Friday evening.
The previous director had a passion for film and Base Video started. Base video would interview bands sometimes at festivals such as Reading festival, award evenings like Nordoff Robbins and in house at the studios. The passion for Video lead to the development of our Infinity room. We have since hosted countless music videos and photographers.

Due to high rehearsal room demand the studios extended. The studio now has seven Large fully kitted rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, an infinity white room for photography and filming, a drum & guitar school, a podcast room, plus a dance studio.�We have been lucky to have been used by many top artists over the years �Link to previous and current clients. �https://www.basestudios1.co.uk/studio-services/education-community/showreel-scenes-for-actors/ �

Community projects have always been a big part of Base. From Saturday Music Club to the Mix it up nights helping young people from all backgrounds. It’s great to still be working with Local community groups and doing what we can for local events and charities.�Liam took over the business in 2024 after working at the studios since 2011. It’s not easy to run a business in 2026 we have had to fight battles, but the studios is still growing every day, we continue to learn, develop and improve. We will hopefully be with you for years to come.

Feel free to pop down to the studios at anytime today. We have cold water, tea, coffee, toilets, WiFI, Fridge Freezer and Quiet rooms with sofas and sleeping bags if you need to catch up on some sleep.
