To everyone receiving their GCSE results today — good luck! ❤️🎈❤️🎈❤️🎈❤️
We hope you get the results you’re hoping for and that they take you one step closer to wherever you want to go next. Be proud of how far you’ve come, because getting to this point is an achievement in itself.
And for those who don’t get the results they wanted: please remember that these grades do not define you, your intelligence, your potential or the person you will become. They are a snapshot of one moment in your life — not a prediction of your whole future.
There are so many people who struggled with school, didn’t get the grades they hoped for, or took a completely different path, and still went on to achieve incredible things. Richard Branson struggled academically and left school at 16. Sarah Millican received a D and an E at A-level. Deborah Meaden left school before taking A-levels. Their stories are a reminder that success doesn't come in one shape, and there isn't just one route to a fulfilling life.
So whatever those results say today, keep going. If you got the grades you wanted, celebrate them. If you didn't, take a breath, work out your next step and remember that there are still so many doors ahead of you.
Sometimes the hardest roads build the strongest people.
Your results are part of your story — they are not the whole story. ❤️
