No one ever knows what goes on in peoples minds. Some people find it hard to talk. Never judge people when you do not know the facts. Never take sides just because someone told you their story first. Then there are people who appear hard hearted when in reality their past makes emotions hard to show. We simply do not know. It is usually the most unlikely people you would ever think that take their own lives. Here I write about Caroline Flack 😥 Rest easy x

CAROLINE FLACK

Don’t look behind her eyes
As you will not see
The celebrity who was on tv
Underneath her smile
Was a broken little girl
Who’s heart and mind were fragile
She dreamed big
She achieved her goal
The media and mayhem
Lost her soul
She strutted her stuff in her high heels
But no one walked her walk
Her world was blinded
By show biz talk
As she shone under the spotlight
Her fragile demeanour crumbled
Her smile hid a woman’s tears
All her insecurities
All her fears
When you walk the walk of fame
You can pay a high price
All that glitters
All that is gold
Doesn’t always shine bright
It just dazzles over what’s within
Glosses over a personal fight
So in her final hours
When the glamour disappeared
She was overpowered by her tears and her fears
Underneath she was just human
Just like you and I
Who fought her demons for many years
So sad she thought her only way out
Was to take her own life and die
So people just remember
All that glitters
Is not gold
Look behind a persons smile
Do not judge them
For we do not know
What dimmed her light
For her to go.

IRENE

Irene was a strange old pigeon
She wore socks when she went to the shops
She tucked her shopping under her wings
She made her nest out of her neighbours mop
She doodled with her pigeon foot
Wrote her name in dirt
Saw Bertie pigeon from the corner of her eye
With whom she likes to flirt 🥰
But not today she decided
And swiftly turned away
She needed to take her shopping home
She did fancy Bertie ☺️
But he can wait until another day 🙂

Hey everyone
I would imagine we have all felt like this at least once in our lifetime. It’s okay life eventually moves on xx

Petals And Time

Never beg anyone to stay
If their heart is not with you
Let them walk away
Don’t guilt them into staying
Just let them go
Even if a part of your heart follows after them
Never tell them so
Eye contact is broken
Too painful to bear
Your eyes maybe still full of love
But theirs is a vacant stare
Let your pride prop you up
Although you are crumbling inside
Turn your face away
Let your misted eyes not turn to tears
Let them take with them your wasted years
No pain like a cracked heart that bleeds
The sting of love is bittersweet
Here today and gone tomorrow
Is time really a healer
Can it heal a broken heart
Forever is a deceiver
For nothing stays the same
They said it was forever
False promises that fell like petals
That withered and fell
Will my heart ever heal
Only time will tell.

Just my opinion of course 🙂

AS WE AGE

Shall we do it naturally
Or should we create a filled in pout
Shall we let nature define our laughter lines
The depth of our frown
Or fill it with a trowel
Shall we follow our grannies who have long gone
Who accepted the generation they were in
Shall we as women accept sagging breasts
Or shall we fill them in
When I was small I watched
As a small brush was rubbed in a pallet
Of what looked like hardened clay
It was dampened to make grown women’s eyebrows
Look like Doris Day
Now we have fat brows, thin brows,
Some so thick, they make you look like a p….
But hey each to their own
But while women are worrying how they look
And what shade of white
To have their teeth
Or what colour toenails to have on their feet
The world will not wait for you to be perfect
As perfect doesn’t exist
So when you look at your aging face
And dislike what you see
Remember there are women in the church yard
Who would have given anything to live
Beauty is only temporary
Don’t dislike your aging face
Accept it with grace 🥰

Hey everyone

Today I write purely from my imagination. My poetry is sometimes random so here we go xXx

SHE

If I walked beside you
Would you notice me
Would you feel my presence
If only you knew how much I wanted you
But I’m no one’s second choice
Sometimes I just daydream
That you tell me you love me
In a forever kind of voice
Then I remember I’m insignificant
In the world in which you live
Does she love you like I would
I want to whisper I love you
If only I could
I want to laugh with you
About silly things
I want to share my life with you
Experience all that love brings
But you never even notice me
Our love is not to be
Your love is for another
And I am not she.

Hey everyone
I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer months.
The days, the months they seem to come and go so quickly don’t you think. Time waits for no one and in the blink of an eye your youth has turned into your autumn years. Here I write about what we see when we look in the mirror. Have a good day folks xx

THE LOOKING GLASS

Looking through the looking glass
What do I see
A woman who has loved, lost, lived and cried
Looking back at me
Moments to cherish
Looking back in time
The births of my children
Then along come the grandchildren
All of them mine
A piece of the woman in the looking glass
That make their way out into this world
With the love of their mother and grandmother
Walking with them as they go
The looking glass tells visual stories
As you age along with time
It reminds you that nothing stays the same
Like the seasons you change
When it was spring
You were just budding, young and bursting to life
Summer came and went
Just like your youth
Autumn sheds its leaves
Like we shed our past
Winter brings cold and dreary days
We have all had our share of them
But remember fires glow and crackle
Keeping us warm inside
Just like the love we have experienced throughout our lives
So when we look into the looking glass
Our reflections change with time
We have all loved, lived, lost and cried
So look into it with pride 🥰

GUT FEELING

Always go with your gut
Never second guess it
Gut instincts
Don’t change their minds
Ignore it
You will live to regret it
Now following your heart is tricky
It is blindfolded with emotion
If you skip along with your heart strings
The rope may snap
Remember that.

Hey everyone
I hope you are all enjoying the summer. If you enjoy my poetry please follow my page 🥰 Here I write about a man in his twilight years 💙

Albert

Albert grew his lettuces
In his older years
He had lost his zest for life
When grief fuelled his tears
His late wife and Albert went dancing in their younger years
Smiled through the quick step
Glided across the floor
Met up with friends they had made
On Wednesday afternoons
Like them now retired
Their families like theirs now had families of their own
Time for themselves now
In their twilight years
They glided around the floor
Together for 60 years
They were enjoying their life
Then the sun set one late afternoon
Albert’s wife went suddenly
Leaving him all alone
When god called her home
He recalled a conversation
They had had many years ago
His late wife reminded him
Of when the kids were young
Money was tight
They grew food on their allotment
Although he knew she was not coming back
He took comfort from the 60 years together
While tending to his lettuces
Fond memories flooded his aching heart
Forgetting her never 🥰

Hey everyone
Nearly the weekend again and so the weeks roll around. Today my poem is light hearted. Here my imaginative side came out to play🙂 I knew a mermaid once and she told me some of her secrets. Here I write about myself if I were a mermaid and how I would sea myself🩷 Notice my spelling of see 🌝 Do you believe in mermaids 🤔🧜🏻‍♀️
If you enjoy my poetry please like and follow my page 🥰

IF I WAS A MERMAID 🧜🏻‍♀️

If I were a mermaid
I would admire my scale
Shiny and beautiful
With a mother of pearl tail
I would collect oysters from the bottom of the sea
To make pearl necklaces to wear
As I’m part girl
I would visit Honolulu
Sit on the beach
Hide my tail with sand
As I have no feet
I would accept a garland of flowers
As a gift from a boy
Hang them around my neck
Then watch the world go by
I pick off the petals of a flower
As he sits next to me
Does he love me
Does he love me not
I throw away the petals
One by one
If he sees my tail will he be gone 🤔
The tide is slowly trickling in
Oh my will he see the tip of my fin
I have to consider
Where I would rather be 🤔
As he watches the sunset
With his arm around me
I slither away
As the sea calls me 🧜🏻‍♀️
