One in three adults have high blood pressure in the UK, but many don’t realise it because it doesn’t necessarily have any symptoms. The good news is there are lots of things you can do to lower it through changes to diet and lifestyle (or by medication if needed).

Our health and wellbeing team are out and about in September offering free blood pressure checks and healthy lifestyle advice as part of Autumn Health Watch.

Let's G is Back!

In partnership with Scottish Athletics and the local athletics club we are delighted to be running another block of this programme for 5 - 8 year olds.

The programme provides an inclusive introduction to athletics, supporting the development of fundamental movement skills through activities including running, jumping, throwing and pushing.

Let’s Go is an athletics programme for children aged 5–8 years, delivered in partnership with Live Life Aberdeenshire, scottishathletics and local athletics clubs.

The programme provides an inclusive introduction to athletics, supporting the development of fundamental movement skills through activities including running, jumping, throwing and pushing.

What a Summer It's Been! ☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our Summer Programme this year. It has been fantastic to see children and young people making friends, trying new activities, building confidence and creating lasting memories.

A special thank you to our amazing staff, volunteers, and to for their support. As part of the national 2026 initiative, our Summer of Play programme has helped young people across Aberdeenshire get active, have fun and try something new.

🎖️We have spaces in Levels 1 on Tuesday 1600, 1630, 1800 Thursday 1630, 1700, 1730 for 5 years and older

Swimming is a fantastic way to stay active, build confidence, and learn essential water safety skills!

🎉 What a great week of Summer Camps at Peterhead! 🎉

It has been fantastic to see so many children enjoying themselves, making new friends, trying new activities and, most importantly, having fun!

We've received lots of positive feedback throughout the week, and we'd love to highlight a few comments from parents and guardians:

💬 "My son has attended a number of summer camps over the holidays, but he said this camp is by far the best he has ever been to!"

One of the most rewarding parts of the week has been seeing so many new friendships blossom. These connections, alongside the confidence, skills and experiences gained, are what make our Summer Camps so special.

A huge thank you to our incredible Summer Camp team. The wonderful feedback we've received is a true reflection of their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to creating memorable experiences for every child.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Annia and Gregor, for supporting activities at Peterhead this week. Your time, energy and commitment helped make the week such a success. 👏
