Dominic Cullen is another new and very welcome artist as part of our Summer Smalls exhibition.

Dominic graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1995 and has since become well known for both his cityscapes and landscapes. Working primarily in mixed media (inks, watercolour and gouache paints), his work has a wonderful attention to detail. All of his paintings are created on location with the elements becoming part of the process and the artwork. You will find familiar scenes from locations around Scotland, including Glasgow, Catterline, Fife and Orkney, and on occasion, the South West of France.

We’re delighted to have six beautiful landscape paintings by Forfar-based artist Victoria Wylie in our Summer Smalls exhibition.

Victoria has a wonderful ability to capture the atmosphere of the Scottish landscape — from soft, muted palettes, to rich, bold tones giving the smallest hint to her design background, and capturing those fleeting moments of light that make you stop and look twice.

With six small works to choose from, there’s plenty of opportunity to find one that speaks to you — whether you’re drawn to a particular place, a mood, or simply the colours.

One of our first Summer Smalls sales was this beautiful Blackbird painting by Gwen Adair that we were asked to frame for the buyer.

It's now 'dressed' in a black moulding, gold slip, with non-reflective, 70% UV protective Art Glass, and looking absoutely stunning!
So much so, that we've popped it in the window until collection later today.

Gwen has 5 more unframed pieces in our current exhibition which can be viewed daily 10AM - 5PM (4PM Saturdays), as well as on our website.

Edinburgh-based artist Stuart Walters celebrates the beauty of the ordinary through his quietly captivating still life paintings. Everyday domestic objects — from fruit and flowers to familiar pieces of tableware — become the focus of his work, transformed through thoughtful composition, colour and light.

There is something wonderfully timeless about Walters' paintings. By finding beauty in the simple and familiar, he invites us to pause and appreciate the everyday moments and objects that so often go unnoticed.

Six beautiful small works by local Stonehaven artist Colin Brown, whose distinctive collage and paint technique take on a wonderfully Japanese-inspired character, exclusively for our Summer Smalls exhibition.

Drawing on Japanese imagery, pattern and atmosphere, Colin combines layers of collage, paint and texture to create pieces that feel both contemporary and timeless. Each work has his unmistakable quality — considered, tactile and full of detail.

We are delighted to welcome Kate Henderson to the gallery for her first exhibition with us, and to introduce her work in stained glass for the first time.

Kate’s work is inspired by the beauty, atmosphere and architectural details of churches, with St Mary’s Church in Haddington providing a particular source of fascination. Drawn to its character, history and intricate forms, she explores these elements through the timeless medium of stained glass.
