Tim Toft started in the violin business over 30 years ago, since then he has established himself as a respected international dealer and consultant. He is also an adviser on matters of instrument authenticity, provenance and investment to many professional bodies. He is always happy to discuss instruments matters whether you are a beginner or an owner of a fine Stradivari. We have an extensive ran

ge of old and modern instruments spanning the baroque, classical and modern periods – one of the largest in the UK. Customers are welcome to try out instruments on the premises in one of several special rooms designed for this purpose. We pride ourselves on the standard of the repair and restoration service we provide for all instruments and bows. We aim to preserve as much of the original as possible in order to retain the character of the instrument. All work is fully guaranteed and we are approved repairers for Allianz Cornhill Insurance. If you would like to upgrade an antique instrument that you have bought from us, we guarantee that we shall give you what you paid for it, subject to it’s condition. We also give generous allowances on instruments, whether or not they were bought from us. If you want to sell an instrument, we may be able to do that for you and deduct a small commission.
