MORE DETAIL ON YESTERDAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT.

Claybody Theatre has pledged a further £17,000 from our own capital development budget to add to the £150,000 awarded by Arts Council England for improvements to The Dipping House.

Furthermore, Claybody Theatre will administer and oversee these improvements at our expense so that EVERY PENNY of the total £167,000 will be spent on The Dipping House – ensuring that this publicly owned building is an accessible and sustainable arts and community venue for the city both now and in the future.

We are thrilled that Arts Council England has put this trust in us and invested in our city and our communities. We thank Stoke-on-Trent City Council for their continued excellent partnership and support.

Exciting news for The Dipping House! 📣

We have been awarded £150,000 from Arts Council England’s Creative Foundations Fund!

The funding will support essential improvements to The Dipping House, our atmospheric found space venue on the former Spode Factory Site, including new flooring, lighting, and flexible seating.

The success of The Dipping House has been driven by a close partnership between Claybody Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Arts Council England and the local community.

BON VOYAGE to The Grand Babylon Hotel! 👋⛵️

Tonight is our final performance at Harrogate Theatre and we're reflecting on a fantastic tour!

For the first time as a company, we’ve toured outside Stoke-on-Trent to four wonderful venues, reaching brand-new audiences. And let’s not forget the unique and joyful run at The Dipping House, with the audience seated all around the action.

We were delighted to welcome Bill Champion to the cast for this tour, stepping brilliantly into Theodore Racksole’s shoes. Huge love to the cast and crew on the road - thank you for bringing so much joy and good humour to this madcap show!

We are very grateful to our partners and friends at New Vic Theatre, and sponsors at KMF Group Ltd. This tour was made possible with funding from Arts Council England.

And finally - to you, the audience - your support means everything! Some of you even followed the show from venue to venue, experiencing it in every format. We couldn’t have asked for a more joyful, engaged, and loyal audience to share The Grand Babylon Hotel with. Here’s to many more adventures together!
