Although we have to make some changes to the way we operate from October, we do have a nice extra feature to install before the year is out. This new feature will hopefully make it a lot easier for the bands using HNM to reach their fans.

WELCOME BACK OUR HAPPY NINJA FAMILY!
As a big thank you, we're offering our regular artists their first rehearsal free, and there's some BrewDog Lager for each of you in the fridge - have one on Nick, Rob, Phill and I.
Our doors are finally open, the entire facility has been cleaned top-to-bottom, and we've got all covid precautions in place.
Get creative again, and let the world hear you!

2021 has brought some potentially fantastic news already, and Happy Ninja Media CIC are very excited to announce that plans to reopen have been drafted pending the success of the government’s latest roadmap.

Following the steps outlined by the UK Government, we are hoping to reopen our doors to active:

Solo performers (strictly one person using the facilities) from 12th April 2021

Musicians (groups of 2 or more) from 17th May 2021

The above dates have been taken from the Government’s proposed ease of lockdown plan, are used in guidance of stages two and three and are subject to change following official updates.

This week, we have again made contact with Stoke-on-Trent local authority, who have confirmed the following;

"your rehearsal rooms could only remain open for professional musicians, however that the social aspects of business (meeting space, social facilities etc) would have to remain closed"

For the safety of all, we shall remain closed until restrictions ease. We remain in contact with eachother, and look forward to welcoming you back with fresh skins, warm valves, and lit systems!

Do you miss playing? Practising? Hanging out with your band mates?

WE DO TOO! However...here at Happy Ninja Media, we think that our musicians are all far too important to put at any potential risk or harm.

Whilst we offer all of the required sanitising and cleaning equipment, and have implemented strict guidelines for using the facilities, we must address that even the most honest error has the potential to cause immense pain to musicians we call our friends.

After an extensive debate, a unanimous decision was made to keep our doors closed during lockdown phase 2 has safety trumped all factors.

We will not be trying to look for loopholes to open our facilities but will be taking this opportunity to deep clean, make improvements and prepare to welcome our musical family back as soon as it is safe to do so.

So, drill your scales and run your rudiments, our doors will reopen before you know it.

Music improves lives, shapes society, and energizes change!

This organisation has provided help and support through the pandemic, to so many musicians, including myself. I will not forget this. They even have a helpline for musicians who just wish to talk.

Please share - their services are invaluable.

We will get through this and we will all be stronger for it.

With another national lockdown and ongoing restrictions, we understand that opportunities for musicians to earn are still severely limited. Thousands of musicians have fallen through the gaps of government support and for these reasons, we've opened applications for Phase 3 of our Financial Hardship Funding.

All of us at Happy Ninja Media CIC are concerned that Tier 2 Restrictions DO impact our business as a rehearsal room / social space, and we must now take action;

If performing/recording is not considered as your/other members primary income, you can not legally use our facility. If it’s not your ‘workplace’, you must not attend in groups.

Individuals / solo artists WILL be permitted to use the facility if pre-booked.

So please come down individually to use your drums, guitars, vocals – make lots of noise. Creativity thrives when emotions are high, use HNM to write new riffs and use our internet to share with your band mates.
