Rodina is the creative vehicle for singer-songwriter Aoife Hearty, a “soul/jazz/pop chanteuse” known for her hauntingly evocative vocals and sophisticated arrangements. Collaborating with producer and pianist /organist Joe Tatton (The New Mastersounds),
Rodina blends acid jazz, cosmic jazz-funk, and vintage soul into a “feel-good” sound that has earned comparisons to “an angel holding court in a smoky, chilled underground bar” and the latest record is “Good Company” a lush vintage soul record available on vinyl.
Partner Joe cut his teeth playing for UK funk outift The New Mastersounds which had great success worldwide, mainly in the USA but also across Europe and Japan too.

This Week-

Wednesday - a showing of one of Nirvanas finest moments, the legendary 1992 Reading Festival headline. Starts at 7pm free entry.

Thursday - Yoodoo Voodoo + Balaban & The Bald Illeagles. Two superb New wave/post punk bands. Doors at 7pm a £6 gig.

Friday - Virgin Marys + Two Step Goodbyes - this gig is ticket holder only as it is fully s0ld 0ut. Doors 7pm.

Saturday - 1pm - Day Time Disco - playing songs from all eras and all genres, dance the afternoon away and be home for tea! we have already had song requests in, feel free to send yours.

Saturday - night - Glory Days, Bruce Springsteen Tribute. Very few tickets left, will deffo sell 0ut. Doors 7pm.

Sunday - 2pm- Rodina, first time here for this soulful band, blending acid jazz, vintage soul, and cosmic jazz-funk. A £6 gig.

Sunday - 7pm - Kasper Berry Rapkin and The Swamp Dogs, back after an insanely good gig in June. The album is now out and they will be bringing their delta hillbilly sound to celebrate. If you came before please do so again and tell all your friends!

The Artisan Tap, Hartshill, Stoke is a great little music venue run by Scott and Jane Evans who are passionate about music, b**r and ‘keeping it real’.
When I played there last year with my solo band I was blown away by everything about the place and its vibe. I knew that if I could get Glory Days to play there on a Saturday night it could be a great gig.. so this is it and we are ready to rock!
