BassClub was an absolute riot a few days back - well attended with some crazy pedals from Darkglass Electronics and serious instruments including a stunning MTD. We'll make sure there's another before session before Christmas. 😎

Our friend Julia will be joining us once again tomorrow - mix session in progress! We're very much looking forward it. πŸ₯°

The Disastrous Robots have had a little upgrade this week. Their live setup has gotten a bit crazy with lots of mini-mixers daisy chained to handle the I/O which has worked well enough for now but we thought a single, central point would be so much more efficient. As such, we picked up this lovely Yamaha 01v to replace the mini-madness.😁

What a lovely few days - live music, sea food and a speed boat ride - what's not to love! πŸ₯° We're rather fond of this lovely seaside venue - the Scarborough Spa with Kirk Brandon as part of the New Model Army headline show - we really do love it here. πŸ˜„

As of tomorrow, we'll be back in the studio getting some older projects done dusted including the The Dandelion Curse and the The Barflys plus having a look at a new project with Deluge - all go! Oh, and don't forget we've got BassClub on, too - Tuesday 1st Sept from 18.30hrs. 😎

We were saddened this week by the loss of another local venue. πŸ₯²The Wren has been somewhere we've previously described as a haven for top quality original music - a lovely setting in the heart of Stone. We wish Chris & co all the very best for what the future may hold and not to hesitate in contacting us if we can help in any way.. πŸ₯°

Any guesses to who's been to see us this week? Our friend and the ever popular captain himself, Ash Wall plus someone we've had in many times, Deluge legend, Matt. Exciting things to come from both. πŸ₯°

BassClub is back, baby! September 1st from 18.30hrs, here at Synkronize! 😁

If you're at a loose end on Friday, go check the Disastrous Robots out at the cozy and wonderful The Crossways. There's a slightly different line up but expect the same smooth grooves with added sax and keys - it'll be killer. 😎

What a weekend! πŸ₯° Many thanks to the lovely IST IST fellas and the wonderful Nirwana Tuinfeest - superb all round. The band were super plus we had plenty of 'go' out of the Martin Audio rig and the DiGiCo Quantum. No complaints here. 😎

BassClub! Tuesday 1st September from 18.30 hrs - come join us at the studio for a bass based geek out session. πŸ₯°

Well that's been a rather heavy few days! 😁 Bloodstock Festival was a little different this year - same faces (notably our old mate, Ron) but different kit. The lovely folks Midas gave us a pre-production HD96-16 to mix with whilst our friends over at Stage Audio Services supplied some super L-Acoustics - incredible. πŸ₯° Big thanks to bands and the lovely folk that came to say hi.

The Disastrous Robots had a killer show at Choose Days at The Glebe last week thanks in no small part to Mark sorting the PA. Absolute banger. πŸ₯°

Back in the studio, both The Dandelion Curse and The Barflys mixes are coming along very nicely - the Waves Audio card in the Yamaha and our new plugins from Valhalla DSP and Alex Hilton / A1AUDIO.de have all seen some serious use this week. 😁

02/08/2026

As promised, some new and original music from the lovely Cheeks. 😁 This is only a short clip of our mix but these guys are totally worth a look and a listen - we loved putting this together. Big love, folks. πŸ₯°

Continuing with the original music front, the chaps from The Dandelion Curse returned and we had a great afternoon - right up our street with vibes and echoes from some of our favourite bands. 😎 We've started mixing making use of our latest Valhalla DSP Shimmer and Alex Hilton / A1AUDIO.de Prime delay - very inspiring all round. 😁

The Disastrous Robots will be out again on Tuesday (4th) as part of the Choose Days at The Glebe - they're super excited for this one so go see them if you can. πŸ₯°

Will anyone play spot the difference with us, here? Surely this is a familiar view at Synkronize? Go on, we'll give you a another a minute.. 😁 Yes, well spotted - our new (well, used but extensively refurbished) Apple iMac! We couldn't quite stretch to Apple Silicon but this much newer replacement machine runs a 4.2 Ghz i7, has 32gb of RAM and sports a Fusion drive so it's an absolute flyer and the super-sharp 27" display looks awesome. πŸ₯° The old mac will see continued service replacing the PC at our home studio. πŸ₯°

Amidst all of the computer chaos, we've done some work for the lovely folks over the pond this week - Cheeks. Their crazy blend of uber tight but super loose, vintage but modern is quite something - we'll share a snippet of a test mix we did a while back very soon. We're just awaiting a mix approval then we'll get our mastering toys out. πŸ₯°

Away from the studio, the Disastrous Robots had a blast as part of their 'Bit of a Jam' afternoon session at Artisan Tap yesterday - there's already some videos and audio up an the page. 😎

Big love to the top fellas from The Dandelion Curse - we're very much looking forward to seeing them again soon after a false start on our part yesterday. Thankfully, everything is now back in order with the Apple, Yamaha and MOTU. Thanks again, chaps. 😎

The Disastrous Robots will be doing something a little different this coming saturday (25th) at Artisan Tap. From 2 till 4, they're running an open jam session in the side room so if you fancy joining in with a bit of chillout / electronica, bring your synth (or bagpipes or whatever) and they'll be glad to see you. πŸ₯°

Legendary local lot, Sin Pusher will be joining us tomorrow afternoon for some new content no doubt coming soon. πŸ₯°

Did someone say BassClub? Coming again soon. πŸ˜†

It's been a lovely few days working away in Belgium with St Joseph’s College. Mons and Namur are such picturesque spots - stunning and perfect for a pop-up, live gig. The Behringer Wing operated faultlessly despite the heat and helped us get the best from the slightly vintage Carlsbro PA. Big love to the department and the students. πŸ₯°

The Disastrous Robots were also baking in the heat this week albeit Hanley rather than Belgium. πŸ˜† Many thanks to the lovely people BottleCraft for making it happen. πŸ₯°

We've been bowled over by the kindness and generosity of the local scene this week. πŸ₯° An appeal was put out on behalf of St Joseph’s for any unused instruments / amplification and the response has been incredible - there are a few more bits to collect, still. 😎

Ash Wall came to join us for an afternoon of recording earlier in the week - we had a lovely session. Ash made use of his Line 6 Helix - we were particularly inpressed with it's IR modelling. πŸ₯°

Our live recordings have always been popular but coming soon, we'll be doing a few tracks from our friends, Cheeks Band and local legends The Barflys. πŸ₯°

Many thanks to Attack Of The Vapours and The Brackish and Artisan Tap for accomodating the Disastrous Robots so kindly - that old Ernie Ball Music Man was a glorious thing, too. Top night. 😁
