🔊 Gig Announcement
Soundcheck: Dossers plus support ⚡

Immerse yourself in original live music from the region’s most exciting up-and-coming artists. Soundcheck showcases the best emerging talent from Tees Valley and the North East, giving you the chance to discover your new favourite artist.

In this edition of Soundcheck we have four of the best up-and-coming alt-rock artists from the North East 👇

Hailing proudly from the industrial heartland of Teesside, Dossers will hit the ARC stage with their raw, unapologetic grunge-punk sound. Having performed on the BBC Introducing stage at Waves headlined by Miles Kane and festivals including Twisterella and Stockton Calling, the band are carving out their place in punk-rock history with their electrifying performances and unapologetic attitude. Formed amidst the smokestacks and steel of their hometown, expect blistering riffs, thunderous rhythms and lyrics that cut straight to the bone.

Northern Hospitality have emerged as one of the North East’s most exciting and acclaimed live acts. This charismatic 4-piece are poised to take the nation by storm following a standout debut at Kendal Calling, and having shared stages with Pete Doherty, Kaiser Chiefs, Feeder and Tom Meighan. Experience the band’s riotous fusion of punk energy, anthemic choruses, and heavy, hook-laden guitars live.

Stockton’s own cinematic surf rockers Risco are a dynamic 3-piece band whose sound is as bold as it is unique. Having recently performed at Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival, the band are making waves with their catchy riffs, raw energy and honest lyrics. Rooted in our working-class town, Risco’s music champions the voices often left unheard, and we are here to listen.

Alt-rock trio, Rose Malus will be opening the show with their energetic indie sound. Expect to hear their catchy new release ‘Abruptly Uninspired’ and fresh sounds from the band. No strangers to the local scene, Rose Malus are building a firm following having shared the stage with George Bailey and performed at venues across the North East including Newcastle’s Little Buildings and The Forum Darlington.

This Friday line up information via Catch 22 Comedy Club 🥳

This Friday💪
A proper good night out 🍻

This Friday our MC is Dave Longley, acid-tongued and as sharp as a barrel full of tacks, he’s a working class lad brought up on the mean streets of Derby.

Our opening act is Raul Kohli, fast becoming one of the most captivating acts in UK comedy. Growing up Indian’s in Newcastle, he’s blessed with a Worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class

Matty Oxley is a disabled Teesside comedian who uses self- deprecating humour with a cheeky wink and a smile who shares his funny and often embarrassing medical stories, along with is dry and sarcastic wit.

Our headliner is Teesside-based comedian Fran Garrity. Undeniably one of the North East’s finest comedic experts of recent years, Fran is often heard on the airwaves of both national and regional radio and has had a sell-out run at Fringe in 2019.
