🌳 THE KINDNESS TREE — MONDAY 💚
This Monday, we’re inviting our community to help us grow something lovely.
We’ll be creating a Kindness Tree, filled with messages from local people — thank-yous, words of encouragement, appreciation and little reminders of the good that exists all around us.
You might want to thank someone who helped you.
Celebrate somebody who makes our community better.
Leave an uplifting message for a stranger.
Or simply write something kind that you think somebody might need to hear. ❤️
Children and grown-ups are all welcome to add something to the tree, and there’s no charge to take part.
At a time when it can be very easy to focus on the frightening or difficult things happening around us, we want to make a little space for something positive — our community looking after one another.
Come along, add a leaf, and help us see just how much kindness we can grow together. 🌿

🌞🎨 The weather gods have returned the favour! 🎨🌞

We’re back out painting today! 🥳

Come along and join us at the Tennant Square bus stop from 11am–3pm and help add some colour to the community. 🖌️❤️

No artistic experience needed — just come along, grab a brush and get involved!

🦆 WHAT. A. DAY! 🦆
We have officially survived the Stockton Round Table Duck Race! 😂💛
Today Creative Chaos CIC brought an entire little duck-themed creative corner to the riverside — painting plaster duckies, designing and making badges, decorating coasters, colouring, doodling and contributing to our absolutely gloriously chaotic giant community duck artwork. 🎨🦆
And you lot absolutely DESCENDED on us! 😂
We started the day with tables full of activities and supplies and finished with every single coaster gone, only around 30 badge blanks left, and our plaster duck army thoroughly decimated!
More importantly, we had children, teenagers, grown-ups, families and grandparents all stopping, sitting down and making something together. Some stayed for five minutes, some got completely absorbed, and our giant duck picture just kept getting more colourful, scribbly, ridiculous and wonderful as the day went on. 😍
A massive thank you to Stockton Round Table for having us, and for our rather fabulous Build Your Own Lego Duck — he's definitely joining the Creative Chaos duck collection! 🧱🦆
And a huge thank you to every single person who stopped, painted, drew, designed, chatted, helped, laughed and made a bit of Creative Chaos with us today. 💚
This is exactly what community creativity should look like.
Messy tables. Painty fingers. People of all ages making things together. A giant collaborative artwork absolutely COVERED in contributions. And a frankly unreasonable number of ducks. 🦆🎨💚
Thank you, Stockton — you were brilliant. 😍

Update: the car has now been moved ☺

⚠️ ACCESS NOTICE – TODAY ⚠️
Just a quick heads-up for anyone planning to visit The Wooly Wood Shop / Creative Chaos today.
Unfortunately, a vehicle has been left completely blocking the pavement directly outside the shop, meaning we currently do not have accessible access to the premises.
We are OPEN as normal, but wheelchair users, mobility scooter users and anyone who needs clear level access may currently be unable to safely reach the entrance. We've already sadly had to advise one of our regular visitors not to make the journey today.
The vehicle has been reported to both the relevant enforcement team and the police via 101, and we're hoping it can be dealt with as soon as possible.
If you're unsure whether you'll be able to access us before setting off, please drop us a message. We'll update everyone once the pavement is clear again. ❤️
Sorry for the inconvenience — unfortunately this one is completely outside our control!
