Congratulations to the team 👏 sounds like a busy summer. Well done

Our summer school holiday programme finished yesterday.

We hope everyone had a great time with us this summer. There are lots of stories and pictures to share over the next few days including the "puddling pool" that appeared after the unexpected deluge of rain!

But today we just want to say thank you to these 4 amazing ladies who make up our leadership team. They spent months organising, planning, getting grants and more before we even got to August.

Well done to (left to right) Rachel, Pam, Katy and Anna. Friendly Fridays was buzzing and we had lots of very grateful thank you messages from children and adults. You did good! Providing a space for around 180 adults and kids every Friday with food and activities for free. Thank you for all your hard work.

Friendly Fridays continues next Friday 10 am - 2 pm. At Rose Walker Community cente, Essex Avenue SK3 0JA. The team are organising pizza for lunch next Friday! 😋

Krav Maga Stockport are now holding sessions at our centre every Friday from 7.00pm - 8.30pm.

Master Kato and Master Mike are the instructors and teach top level real world self defence

No level of fitness or martial arts experience needed.

We were recently asked if we had a baby changing mat that a group could use when hiring our centre and they were delighted to learn that we have a baby changing station!

This isn't usually a facility available in a community centre that you can hire.

You can enjoy this space even when the centre isn't open!

Our community hall is available to hire for one off events on Thursday or children's parties at the weekend. The price is £25 per hour.

Facilities available:

Full use of kitchen, equipment and kitchenware
16 foldable tables and 60 chairs
Free Wi-Fi
Access to a local park at our back door
Small carpark for your visitors
Space for indoor bouncy castles
Accessible with ramps at two entrances, loop system, accessible bathroom
Baby changing station

Limited availability in July and August. We tend to be booked a month in advance.

We are in the full throngs of the summer holidays now and we just wanted to remind you that we have a defibrillator outside the front door of our centre.

This can be used by anyone locally in the park or in nearby houses/shops/takeaways etc

When you dial 999 they will direct you to the nearest defibrillator in your area and provide you with the code to unlock and access the contents inside.

Sending our thanks to Anna who ensures this is maintained and stays on the circuit in active use.
