“Some Things That I Love”. This piece originally started off as a rough digital sketch to map out colours and ideas for a new painting. However, I got a little carried away and now it’s a piece of art in its own right. It’s ended up being a mini labour of love that’s filled with things I care about, hence the title. My tortoise, my classical guitar, plants and the seaside. ❤️ This version took many many hours so I dread to think how long the painting will take! 🎨🖌️

Happy New Year! I thought I would take time to reflect on the type of art I feel I’m actually good at and most comfortable doing. I did this a while ago just using pencil and paper. Honestly everything else scares me to do. Seat of the pants stuff! I wonder whether that will change in 2023. #2023

Last Friday this happened. Art Battle Manchester drafted me in last minute to compete again in front of 1000 people and one of my favourite bands, Blossoms. NO PRESSURE THEN! If you're not familiar with the rules, you have 30 minutes to fill a completely blank A1 size canvas and the audience vote on their favourite. It is scary and awesome.
