When it’s sunny you know it’s time for an extra rehearsal and we were super lucky to have the fabulous David Sangster back with us for the day this weekend bringing us some extra sparkle to our Crystal sound!

Also en route home tired and happy are our lovely Gill and Caroline who have been in north wales today, competing with LUX A Ca****la in the international Eisteddfod. Results still pending but they’re having the best time soaking up the atmosphere

UK Treble Harmony Brigade is drawing to a close in the next couple of hours. Three of our members, Sophie, Laura and Nancy will then be on their way home tired but happy. Brigade involves learning 12 songs before the weekend and then teaming up with other singers from around the world and joining them in a scratch quartet. We’ve heard that it was exhilarating, exhausting and extreme so naturally they’re already planning to return next year. 🤩 Sophie and Nancy are ‘harmony hotshots’ having sang in a quartet with every person who is a different part to them (about 60 different brigade members!) and Laura is a ‘harmony hyperstar’ having sang with every single brigade member (80+!) - yep that means learning songs in a second part as well. 😱🎉 They’ll be bringing a wealth of experience and new confidence back to our chorus too - lucky us!

Super busy weekend for Crystals! In Nottingham, Nancy C, Sophie and Laura are at the UK Treble Harmony Brigade doing extreme quartetting. In Llangollen, Gill, Nancy P and Caroline are singing in their mixed chorus LUX A Ca****la in the international Eisteddfod and in Lichfield Jane and Sue are competing with Six Town Sound in the Midlands choir of the year final. As if that’s not enough, on Sunday we’re welcoming back the incomparable David Sangster for a Crystals coaching session. Phew!

We had Master Director David Sangster with us on Super Sunday putting us through our paces. We ended tired but very happy with everything we achieved! Cant wait to have him back again in four weeks 🤩🤩
