Sue's Art and Crafts Painting & occasional crafts. Returned to art in 2012 having done virtually none since school. Started with watercolour but added oils & now enjoy both.

Occasionally experiment with other mediums. Always enjoyed arts & crafts but had concentrated mainly on the crafts. The art was always part of the textiles though - painting with yarn - enjoyed felting, knitting, weaving etc. Involved in setting up & running an art group in 2015. It’s grown to 2 groups now, a morning & an evening group.

No art since Dec due to rheumatoid arthritis flare particularly in both hands. Had injection in both, pain reduced but mobility still an issue. Very frustrating!

Not a lot happening art or craft wise as I'm struggling with RA in my hands 😡The mind/spirit is eager to paint or sketch but physically it ain't happening!

Plein air paintings have more impact, I think, & don't become overworked? The watercolour was done plein air in Cornwall whilst down there for Stephanie Mann Jewellery & James Daykin Stone Sculpture wedding. The oil was done back home using the watercolour for inspiration. I prefer the quickly painted watercolour!
