Over a course of 2 weeks I’ve finally finished my water nymph. I’m struggling with names for this oil painting .
It’s been one of my favourites to paint as a lot of the image happened accidentally, she wasn’t supposed to be translucent with her ribcage exposed.. this made her more fragile and fish-like.. so I had to be careful to emphasise it without loading the paint thick and taking the delicate brush strokes for granted. Also she was never supposed to be pretty, the original idea I had was a dark creature that would lurk in the depths..

Anyway.. I loved painting this and wanted to show you all.
