With over 20 years at the forefront of piping, teaching and composition, Finlay MacDonald has built an international reputation as an exceptional performer, inspirational leader and innovator in traditional music. Finlay is the Director of Piping at The National Piping Centre and Artistic Director of Piping Live! Glasgow International Piping Festival.

We’re delighted to welcome Finlay as our keynote speaker and look forward to hearing his insights.

Just Announced📣: Jill Lorean (solo) will support Broken Chanter at Tolbooth this November.

Jill Lorean is songwriter Jill O'Sullivan (Sparrow And The Workshop) in collaboration with musician and producer Andy Monaghan (Frightened Rabbit) and drummer Peter Kelly. Supporting Broken Chanter, Jill Lorean (solo) will muse on the profound, the mundane, the universe, impending doom and everything in between over frenetic, hypnotic drum beats, playful basslines and subversive guitar melodies.

Discover an evening of science, creativity and conversation as we welcome Stirling Science Festival to Tolbooth for Science Lates.

Explore fascinating talks on AI, sport, music and wellbeing, from Formula 1 to The Swiftie Effect, get hands-on with interactive workshops, and experience a live performance of 'Carnival', the current Free exhibition at Tolbooth Gallery by scientific support dept. and Bel Docherty - doors: 7.15pm, performance Starts: 7.30pm*

Designed for curious minds aged 16+, this unique evening offers a fresh and engaging way to experience the Stirling Science Festival at Tolbooth.

Visit Tolbooth Bar for the flash-Infused Gin Lab (18+)🍸 from 5-9:30pm and enjoy a tasty gin concoction.
