On Saturday 12th December at Tolbooth, a stripped-back house band and guest vocalists will perform Sing the Greys in full at Tolbooth, followed by a set of rarities and lesser-heard Frightened Rabbit favourites.

We are delighted to announce both our initial lineup of artists for 2026’s return of Sing the Greys, and a very special intimate second night – celebrating the 20th anniversary of Frightened Rabbit’s debut album itself.

We wanted to give the iconic album that gives our night its name a proper birthday, so on Saturday 12th December, a stripped back version of our house band will be joined again by guest vocalists to perform the Sing the Greys album in its entirety, along with another set of rarities and lesser heard Frightened Rabbit songs.

That just adds to our already announced massive show at the Albert Halls on Friday 11th December, where we return once again for our communal celebration of the songs, music, poetry and legacy of Frightened Rabbit and Scott Hutchison.

We are delighted to announce that some of the acts that will be joining us over the weekend will include Carla J Easton, Chris Bainbridge (Man of Moon), Gaia, Kathryn Joseph, Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow), The Ninth Wave, Rachel Sermanni, Ross Leighton (Fatherson), Theo Bleak, Tommy Reilly and Zoe Graham – with many more to be announced too.*

Once again, we’ll be partnering with Tiny Changes to raise money and showcase the brilliant work they do.

Tolbooth Youth Jazz Ensemble is open to all young musicians aged 9-18 and is FREE to attend.

From jazz standards and Latin grooves to improvisation and ensemble playing, you'll develop new skills alongside Scotland's top jazz musicians, Kevin Mackenzie and Mario Caribe.

No jazz experience? No problem.
All instruments welcome - It is asked that you have been playing your instrument for a minimum of one-year.

Whether you're taking your first steps into jazz or already have experience, join us on Saturday 12th September for Tolbooth Jazz Summer Day.

This exciting day offers young musicians the chance to explore jazz repertoire, develop improvisation skills, build confidence, and perform alongside fellow music-makers in a fun and supportive environment.

Led by acclaimed jazz musicians and educators Kevin Mackenzie and Mario Caribe, participants will be guided through a day of creativity, collaboration and discovery, making it the perfect introduction to jazz or an opportunity to further develop existing skills.

The day will round off with a sharing concert for friends and family.
