Really wanted to share my sister's partner's new comedy fantasy series, Under Rym. Tim and his little team have made all these films themselves – scripts, costumes, acting, filming, editing, pupperty and all that good stuff.

BOX of FROGS (A Signor Lupo Company) is a 'plimsole budget' production company that has been making short comedy films & parodies since 2009. We do this for fun on our days off from real life and enjoy dramatic combat, cookies, wolves and the F word.

This Hallowe'en Backdrop is finished now. My Mum did all the nice sewing and embroidery! I'll post some pics of it with the display tomorrow when it's Hallowe'en proper!

I posted a sketch for this the other day, but here's the painted illustration. These humming birds are based on the National Bird of Jamaica – the red-billed streamertail (AKA the doctor bird or scissor-tail bird).

Part of my Sunday Hallow'een Project...
A full size print out (across six A3 sheets) of the basic shapes so I can create the templates and make the backdrop. I don't have a light box and forgot to include all the guides I needed... so I ended up taping it to a window to match where it overlaps.

Last year I started designing a backdrop for a Hallowe'en display. Now I've bought the felt and working on it a bit each Sunday. Here's my rough plan.

Here's some of my workings for the Edelweiss illustration, from thumbnail to painting. I looked at a few species of alpine goats and ibex, just did my own thing in the end!
I painted an alternative head which was more goat-like, but the sloppier drawing had more charm and character so I kept it as it was.
