Starting the new year off well - we hosted Bedfordshire Police and their dog unit today for some standard search training for the amazing dogs and handlers, hopefully more of that to come for us 🦮

Happy new year everyone! Although 2020 may not have been the year we expected we still managed to achieve some great things.

In the early months of the year we wrapped up our Pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, followed by a string of other fantastic shows, welcoming many of you through our doors.

Throughout the year we were able to show our support to the NHS by lighting up our building in blue, as well as supporting our industry and lighting the building in red.

We also had the chance to host and film the That’ll Be The Day Christmas DVD, which was a great challenge and brilliant to be back doing our thing!

Here is to 2021, where we hope we will be able to welcome you back through our doors very soon.

Wow we’ve missed this. A few of us were lucky enough to return to the stage last week for a recording session (socially distanced of course). Although it’s not the same without you here, we finally got the Stage Door open and we were back in action!

Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL) is a registered charity and one of the UK’s leading leisure trusts. We currently work closely in partnership with local authorities in Hertfordshire Bedfordshire and Rutland to manage 22 leisure and cultural facilities across 12 towns

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Technician to assist in the supervision of an efficient and effective service within the backstage and technical functions relating to the Gordon Craig Theatre, Main Hall and Conference area.

Responsibilities will include:
• Providing an efficient and effective service within all areas of the backstage and technical functions relating to the Gordon Craig Theatre, Main Hall and Conference area.
• Responsibility for Maintenance, software updates and operation of all functions relating to the LX and/or Sound Department, including PAT testing.

What we are looking for:
• You should possess a relevant technical theatre qualification or experience within this area.
• Good communication skills are essential as is the ability to work under pressure.
• It is desirable that you have relevant electrical and lighting and/or sound experience, a diploma or other qualification from a reputable drama college or equivalent
