Meet Layla

Layla recently wrote and directed our production of Life Could Be a Dream, taking on the challenge for the very first time and delivering a hugely successful show.

She joined Harlequin Productions in 2021, arriving without knowing anyone in the group. However, with her bubbly personality and infectious enthusiasm, it didn’t take long for her to become a valued member of the Harlequin family. Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, Layla has taken on several leading roles in our productions and pantomimes over the years.

Directing Life Could Be a Dream was a completely new experience for her, but she embraced the role with dedication, creativity, and determination, helping to bring the show to life both on and off the stage.

Outside of Harlequins, Layla loves spending time in the great outdoors. Whether she’s camping, hiking, or quite literally climbing trees, she’s always seeking her next adventure. She is currently studying to become a teacher and has somehow managed to balance her studies alongside the demands of directing a full production.

Layla is fiercely loyal and protective of her friends and family. With a huge heart and endless kindness, she is always willing to go the extra mile for those she cares about.

Spare time is a rare luxury for Layla, but when she does get a moment to herself, she enjoys travelling, exploring new places, and making unforgettable memories along the way.
