Well as they say it’s never too early to start!
Christmas in Dipton was started by all the businesses paying back, but it has changed over the years as businesses have changed within the village.
So the decision has been made to shout for extra help, Dipton Jubilee Centre has been booked for Tuesday 23rd June 6.30pm where everyone is welcome, to contribute to make this event bigger and better than ever! The kettle will be on, the cake will be sliced and we would be delighted if you could join us 🎅🏼

What a wonderful night! We can’t believe how many of you turned out in the bad weather!
We have so many of you to Thank for your contribution to last nights event.
Cllr Saffron for funding our village tree
Father Keith from St James church for blessing our tree
Graham and Keith for the installation of the gazebo and PA system
Flinthill store for mince pies
Salad days for cake
St Patrick’s and Dipton Collierley children for singing and dancing so enthusiastically!
Santa and his elf for seeing all the children
Trustees of Dipton Jubilee Centre for all the wonderful drinks and heat in n such a cold night
The cobweb orchestra for their musical input
Dipton WMC for bingo
The ladies from the craft and chat for helping crafts (and controlling the glitter lol)
But especially Catherine from the Hungry Caterpillar for all the organisation of the choirs, crafts, gifts, angels and so much more. She doesn’t even live in the village, but has the biggest community spirit x

Nothing says Christmas like a bit of proper music! The cobweb orchestra are tuning up to play a festive tune or two tonight at Dipton Jubilee Centre from 7pm for those that maybe can’t manage the stairs at the club or just don’t do the bingo thing. Whichever venue you chose to end the evening in, we hope you have a wonderful evening !

Dipton Working mens club will be holding their usual family bingo upstairs. It’s a wonderful way to end the evening, dabbers to the ready at 7.30pm - Christmas “spirit” is optional, but the bar is open and mocktails are a flowing!

Whatever the weather Daphne and the crew will have the kettle (and the heating!) on at Dipton Jubilee Centre once we arrive after the service for free refreshments x

GLITTER GLUE AND TOILET ROLL HOLDERS!
It has to involve the lovely ladies from Craft and chat plus our Catherine and her creativity - loads to make and clart about with free of charge while parents carers and grandparents enjoy their free cuppa and cake !
