Always boasted and taken pride to mention to other club members about how Wraysbury CC has been a family club over the years. I have been very fortunate to have met amazing people at this club. I would like to take a moment to recognize Raheel Yasin whose commitment to our cricket club truly embodies the spirit of what our club stands for.

He played for over 20 years, had a severe back injury which forced him away from the game for several years, a challenge that would have caused many to walk away from the sport they love. However, his passion for cricket and his love for our club never faded.

What makes his story even more remarkable is that he has worked incredibly hard to overcome his injury and has now returned to the field stronger than ever. It has been fantastic to see him back playing good cricket and enjoying the game he loves. His resilience, determination, and commitment are an example to us all.

In the last few years he managed to get sponsorship for the club through his work which has nothing to do with the club or the village. . His journey reminds us that being part of a cricket club is about much more than runs, wickets, and results. It is about loyalty, community, and finding ways to help the club succeed.

Dino, as a fellow player, brother, friend and a club committee member I would like to thank you and pray our journey goes on forever.

All I have is love and respect for you fella.

🏏 WCC Match Update: Chasing the Sun! β˜€οΈ
It was a total white wash last week. 🌧️ While it seemed like every other club in the league managed to get a game in, the cricketing gods clearly had other plans for Wraysbury. Not a single one of our teams managed to complete a full fixture!
We are looking to the heavens and hoping they finally shine a light on us this week. We’re hungry for play, and we’re backing all four teams to come back with a win. 🦒πŸ’ͺ
🍻 Pack the Balcony! πŸ—£οΈπŸ‘
We need a massive home atmosphere this Saturday! Calling on all social members, friends, and familyβ€”come down, grab a drink, and join us up on the balcony. We need your noise, your energy, and your support to cheer the teams on!
Don’t forget, this is our 100th year (1926–2026), so let’s make every match day a celebration. Let’s get the clubhouse rocking! πŸŽ‰
🏟️ The Lineup & Outlook:
1st & 2nd XI: Both sides are desperate for a result as we switch over to the traditional format. It’s time to dig in and get those much-needed points on the board.
3rd XI: Currently on a roll! The goal is simple: keep the winning streak alive and maintain that momentum. πŸ“ˆ
4th XI: Fantastic newsβ€”we finally have a full team taking the field! Let’s hope the boys come home with maximum points this weekend.
πŸ“‹ Squad News:
We’ve had some big shake-ups in the selection room this week.
⚠️ Injury News: Our 1st XI keeper, Onkar, has unfortunately been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a fractured finger. We wish him a speedy recovery!
🧀 The Return: Stepping into the gloves is Iffy Wain! Iffy returns to the 1st XI after a few years away. While the 3rd team might feel a bit lonely without him this week, we’re excited to see him back at the top level.
Let’s go, Wraysbury! 🦒🏏
