Always boasted and taken pride to mention to other club members about how Wraysbury CC has been a family club over the years. I have been very fortunate to have met amazing people at this club. I would like to take a moment to recognize Raheel Yasin whose commitment to our cricket club truly embodies the spirit of what our club stands for.
He played for over 20 years, had a severe back injury which forced him away from the game for several years, a challenge that would have caused many to walk away from the sport they love. However, his passion for cricket and his love for our club never faded.
What makes his story even more remarkable is that he has worked incredibly hard to overcome his injury and has now returned to the field stronger than ever. It has been fantastic to see him back playing good cricket and enjoying the game he loves. His resilience, determination, and commitment are an example to us all.
In the last few years he managed to get sponsorship for the club through his work which has nothing to do with the club or the village. . His journey reminds us that being part of a cricket club is about much more than runs, wickets, and results. It is about loyalty, community, and finding ways to help the club succeed.
Dino, as a fellow player, brother, friend and a club committee member I would like to thank you and pray our journey goes on forever.
All I have is love and respect for you fella.
