Cover up done a few weeks back 🌟
Typically with cover ups it's advised to go bigger, to disguise the old tattoo in a larger peice.

My client wanted to keep the new tattoo as close to the same size as possible, and that's what we did and it worked perfectly.
Thankful they were on board with the design, creating this abstract style Geisha to tie in with other themes elsewhere on the arm.

It's everyone's favourite boy racer ⚡️

Day 2 of Mancunia Tattoo Convention spent creating and stressing over getting this lightning mcqueen finished in time 😂
(Clients day after photo, because it was much better than the one I got)

As an artist who spends most of their time doing black and grey at conventions, I wanted to really push out of my comfort zone doing full colour and I'm so happy how it came together.

Thank you to everyone who showed this some love, the feedback was incredible! Honourable mention to the guy who lent us his crocs haha.
And huge shout out to my client Gareth who sat like a champion, even if we didn't bag any awards this time.
Can't wait to add more to it 🤘🏻

🏆1st place 'Hand of Dodd' mixed style Mancunia Tattoo Convention

This was a special award, and I had my eye on it as soon as I saw the trophy.
It's so on brand.

For those that know, this year was about redemption.
I came back to this convention, wanting more and expecting better from myself.
I put everything into this design and pushed myself to deliver a tattoo I was happy with.
I'm beyond stoked to pick up the win with this!

Smashed out this Ayrton Senna portrait in around 4 hours for Russ yesterday.
Tried something a little different with my black and grey for this one, and I'm super happy how it came out.
Portraits are always such fun to do and I'd love to get back into doing more of them.

DAY 2 Ink & Oil Tattoo Convention
And I'm stoked to have picked up 1st Place Best Original Design 🏆

Huge thank you to my client for travelling up and sitting like a rock (fell asleep multiple times haha)

This one was very close on time to get finished in time for the judging, the pressure was well and truly on!

I had this design idea originally planned for another convention 2 years ago. A last minute change of plan meant we didn't go ahead with the design.
Since then I've been dying to tattoo this, and I'm so happy that the Mona Lisa Simpson finally got her day 🫶🏻💛

What a day, what a weekend!
