For generations, the pottery industry has been built on the skill, patience and dedication of talented artisans.
While many assume these details are machine made, traditional hand painting techniques are still used today, requiring years of practice to perfect.
Every steady line represents a craft that has been passed down through generations and continues to play an important role in keeping the ceramics industry alive in Stoke on Trent.

Places I have worked at and socialised in this week in Saigon. I haven’t any drawings to show as it’s all been paperwork. But as I’ve been working in some gorgeous cafes I thought I’d share those.

Tonight my Vietnamese friend took me to the most atmospheric bar which smelt Devine, oaky, smoky and the perfect ambience. I tasted my favourite gin ever which was a specialist recipe from the villages in the South by the Mekong Delta. Served in a traditional style teapot this is always the way I’ve wanted to enjoy gin so watch this space…

I have lots of travel ahead of me now as I start my journey home. I’m so excited to see everyone and especially my boys 💙💙

Any chance of holding onto that glorious weather until Wednesday? 😅

Happy Intentional Tea Day. What will you be drinking today? Are we still a nation of tea lovers or is coffee taking over? And if it’s still tea what brand wins currently for you?

I’ve recently updated the Edinburgh bone china mug. I hope you like I’ve incorporated Edinburgh Castle, Palace of Hollyroodhouse, St. Giles’ Cathedral and Scott monument. I felt it needed a more traditional regal look so after trying lots of different blues opted for Royal blue. Blue on white china is always a winning combination I think.

Enjoy your day there. 🫖☕️

The colourful Phuket Old Town left me spoilt for choice. I’ve used watercolours, acrylic pens and gouache to bring this collection together. It’s been great having the freedom of exploration in different mediums. I’m planning on creating a mug design with a selection of the historic buildings and try to retain as much colour as possible.

Phuket Old Town, Thailand is famous for its Sino Portuguese architecture. A unique style from the island's tin-mining boom that mixed European colonial structures with Chinese craftsmanship.

I wonder if this will work on a full tea set. Hmm what do you think?

I loved drawing this special family home and the fun part was that the family were super creative. So they chose red which worked brilliantly with their tastefully restored interior design. House portraits can be any home, your own or someone else’s as a gift. Just send me a picture of the home or the address and choose your colour. I’ll do the rest.

I've got availability for 3 spaces for house portraits in May. If you would like me to create an illustration of a specific place get in touch. Father's Day is coming up, if you're looking for something a little different why not consider the family home in a colour of your choice.

I’ll pop the link in the comments

There’s something about blue and white, I discovered this quaint doorway in Phuket Old Town. This drawing will be added to a new tableware collection coming soon.
