We are shocked, appalled and saddened that the permanent closure of the Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock has come to light today, which is being discussed in a meeting at Cannock Civic Centre tomorrow. The people of Cannock and beyond deserve to continue to have the opportunity to experience live theatre close to home. Please take less than a minute to sign this petition and show that supporters of the arts in any form will not allow our creative spaces to be taken without a fight.

With the news that the plans to turn the old cinema into a music venue no longer able to go ahead and the building now back up for sale, with this page having such a large following it seems a shame to just shut it down, so I'd like to hear your ideas for what this page could/should be. Something that serves the community but not a page that duplicates what already may exist. Leave your ideas in the comments!

West End and Broadway star Kerry Ellis getting behind one of our local youth theatre companies 😍

What can West End and Broadway mega star Kerry Ellis possibly have in common with our production of We Will Rock You?

Firstly, she was the original actor to play Meat (Oz in our production) in the World Premiere of We Will Rock You in the West End in 2002 until 2004.

Secondly, from 23 June to 9 July you can see Kerry playing Titania, Queen of the Fairies (Queen, get it?) at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream!
