๐ A little honesty from behind the scenesโฆ
I've been sitting with these feelings for months now, trying to work out what to do and whether I can find my way back to enjoying something that has been such a big part of my life.
I've had my little business on and off for the past 5 years, and if there's one thing I know, it's how much time, love, effort and passion goes into creating something of your own. Those of you in the craft world will understand that it's never just about making things. There's the planning, the creating, the costs, the time, the promotion, trying to keep things fresh and exciting, and hoping that all the hard work pays off.
But if I'm honest, for quite a few months now, I've felt completely deflated.
I've found myself questioning things, losing motivation and wondering whether there's any point in carrying on. Something that once brought me so much happiness has started to feel heavy, and that's a really difficult thing to admit when you've put so much of yourself into it.
I don't think people always realise how emotionally draining running a small creative business can be. We put so much of ourselves into what we do, and when things don't feel the way they once did, it's hard not to take it personally.
Part of me doesn't want to give up on something I've spent five years building, but another part of me is tired. Tired of feeling deflated, tired of questioning myself, and tired of trying to find that spark again.
I think I just need to be honest about where I'm at, rather than pretending everything is fine when it isn't.
So I'm at a bit of a crossroads, wondering whether to keep going, take a step back, or accept that maybe it's time for a new chapter.
I'd genuinely love to hear from others ...
Sometimes it's reassuring to know we're not the only ones feeling this way. โค๏ธ
Thank you to everyone who has supported my little business over the years. It really does mean more than you know. x
